Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Oh, How fascinating." He remarks upon seeing the floating candles. Making a mental note to learn how those work later, "My story?" Taking his seat, he ponders a moment before continuing, "I should start from the beginning i suppose. Since i was little I've always been fascinated by how the world works, the way things move and such like that. On 18th birthday i left home to travel and learn how and why the world works as it does." Rummaging around in his pack, he removes a scraggly little leather bound book. "I've kept a note of everything interesting I've found so far, though i will admit nothing as captivating as whatever is keeping those up." he gestures towards the candles.
