Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) The town that lived in the mire was a blight on the earth, its air thick with rot and decay. The blue and gold of the grubby but still resplendent Sir Lorrvak heralded him as a knight of the distant land he came from, walking through the shadows with supernatural ease. His silver griffin sign said that he was a Royal Warden, once but now a memory of minarets carved in marble and sun that had no end. Sir Lorrvak removed his helmet, his face weary but determined. "My journey began in my town in kingdom far away from here," he stated, his voice low and unyielding. "I served my King for many years, but then someone stole my Town's Mayor's favourite sword." "Three moons ago, that sword was stolen." He explained that the thief was a well-prepared men who now seems to be vanished. The Town's Mayor, desperate to do anything, dispatched Sir Lorrvak not with an army, but as a stealthy scout, to fetch the sword back before the town would be in danger. "Along the way, it went through all of the darkest places on the continent, following every path i could find." he stated, his eyes clenching. "The diviners foretold that it would end where the light of my kingdom was to be extinguished. That place, I believe, is here." He leaned forward toward the hag, his full attention. "I care for only one thing: my purpose: to bring back the sword and save my town. I am sworn to secrecy and haste, and I shall not rest until the sword is safely in my Mayor's hand." "Now, Old One," Sir Lorrvak dared, "You know who I am. Tell what you know of her."
