Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: Zaxius tenses up, scared, but tries to act calm "I'm sorry for intruding ma'am. D-Did you say you what to hear my story?" Zaxius sits down
"Well, I guess there's no harm in telling my story, even though it's not very exciting"
"I come from a humble family, so all my relatives are farmers or have a similar job." Zaxius blushes a little embarrassed "I thought that I could be different and live a life of adventure, so not long ago I left my home and family behind but I didn't plan this good enough, I only brought some basic clothes and the gloves my father gift me, as a remember..." "I'm not a brave person, some might even call me a coward, but I still think that I made a good choise in leaving my house behind and trying to, well... be me? I guess, I don't know. And somehow I ended up here, lost in this swampy town" Trying to not offend the hag he says "A-A very beautiful town fortunately"
