Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

He sits down, still shaking off the cold from outside, and begins to speak. "I had a normal life once, where I had a house and money for the things I needed." He takes a deep breath and sits up straighter. "But then I had a heavy gambling addiction." He starts to look down. "I was gambling on everything—left and right. I was gambling on fights and races." He locks his hands together and looks at the ground. "But then I lost it all." He lets out a heavy sigh, but continues, "And for the past year or so, I've been living on the road and surviving off nature." His expression turns sad as he reflects on his past, but then he brightens and looks straight at the old lady. "But I'm trying to clear my past and start a new life," he says with full confidence. Then he stands up and looks at the old lady. "Thanks, I needed this talk. It helped me clear things off my chest and get my goals straight." He walks outside into the dark of the night.
