Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

takes a swig of my flask "well, I come from an old village that's not to well known, after a raid that left it burnt to the ground i decided to leave. after days of walking and me being hungry an old man took me in and he took care of me until i was better. I asked if i could stay and I told him I could help him with anything he might need, he agreed and so he let me stay there for a good while. I started to learn to read and he taught me to learn magic and after a few months I went on my way and now... im here, looking to learn more.
