    Shrubbry

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) *He takes a seat at the table and looks at the hag with concern "and why would you be expecting me, we have never met before" *the hag cackles and pulls up a chair opposite, she replies "dont think too much about it, just tell me what brings you here" *sprike looks at her puzzled but begins anyway "my name is Sprike, though you may already know that it would seem. i am from the laked highlands in the north, i am living alone after the death of my parents many years back. Like my father i am a blacksmith, he taught me how" *Sprike gestures with his palms showing scarred callous hands "i also have an interest in herbs and plants, which is the nature of what brings me to this swampy town" *He pulls a small leather pouch from his pocket, it is filled with small orange flowers with a dark green stem and heart shaped leaves, he takes one out showing it to the old hag "these only grow in the swamps near here, my horse back home is sick and these will aid in its recovery, i noticed this town as i was travelling" *he pauses wondering as to why he is telling so much to this hag he has just met. the old hag notices his change of expression and starts "Ahhh, you are right to wonder, for this is no chance meeting" *Sprike jolts up sensing an uneasy dread upon the air from the old hags voice, he exits briskly and does not look back.
