Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Skarl sits down with a grunt, the chair creaking under his hefty weight. "I'm lookin' for knowledge about the local cave system." He rests his elbows on the table, lacing his fingers together. "Or if you know anyone who could guide me there? I'm hoping to study the formation of peat and I have a theory on the formation of coal that I'm hoping this swamp could help me prove."

With a love of stews and rocks, Skarl has chosen to dedicate his life to the study of rocks, minerals and the uses of them. He's still a young dwarf, with a lot to learn both in his chosen field and about life. He born into the Irongut Clan (OOC permission was given for this by Dormdal Irongut) and is looking to make his clan proud with his studies. Born deep within the depths of Urguan to a loving family, he was raised with a large appetite and a love of brews. This has carried over into his teenage years, while no stranger to hard work, he's not the first to jump in line either. Preferring his books and studies to the mining pick.
