Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Bernard settled down, eyeing the hag closely while trying to maintain an air of composure mixed with caution. "I've never come across someone like you who was anticipating my arrival, but I suppose that’s just how it goes. We’re only just introduced, and you want me to recount my story?" He chuckled mockingly, "Nothing is given without compensation, my dear; purchase a mug of ale, and then I’ll share-. Eh, what the hell, you look like a person who doesn't have that money for ale anyway." He let out a sigh. "I’m Bernard Kingsley. I come from a family of skilled and gifted fighters. Unfortunately, they waste their abilities, tarnishing the Kingsley reputation, which is why I decided to depart. Shortly after my departure, my two other brothers also left. We reunited and began to restore our family's honor and reputation." He stared directly at the Hag and said, "Is this all settled then?"
