Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "You want to know my story?" Elanor asked the old hag, taking a seat across the table from her "its not all that interesting really." "I was born into a noble house." Elanor sighed "A "perfect" family..." "My father was a wealthy merchant who married a noble lady." "I was born and grew up living a sheltered life as an only child." "I was given only the best education, I learned the histories, all the famous houses and heroes, the wars , who won and who lost, I was taught proper etiquette and diplomacy and expected to do my part for the family by marrying some popular nobles son." "But things took a little turn." "See it turns out my father had acquired a good amount of debt gambling in secret." *annoyed* "The dumb fool." Elanor rolls her eyes "And with the wrong people" "They came to collect, he didn't have the money *Elanor shakes her head* so they tried to take my mother as collateral, he fought back, things got violent and after that I was left alone." "So what did I do?" "Well, I had been learning fencing for some time at that point *Elanor pulls out and displays her rapier on the table* and since I knew the faces of brutes who had just killed my parents I decided in my rage to settle the score myself." "I walked right into their "lovely little establishment" and skewered as many of them as I could, I don't think they expected a little girl to put up such a fight. I didn't think I had it in me myself at the time actually." "When I was done, and I WAS done, they didn't go out quietly." *Elanor gestures to her eyepatch* "I walked out of there with a sense of relief, I felt... I felt like I finally knew who I was." *Elanor chuckles to herself* "Since then, Ive been traveling all over, collecting bounties where I can, the lawmen don't like me very much but I'm effective and most know by now..."
