Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
”Have you?” The young maiden asked, albeit a hint of coldness seeped through her softly sweet demeanor. “I suppose I could honor your probing.” She adjusted her hair, brushing it back behind her long, pointed ear. “As much as you may have expected me to grace you, it would be a surprise for someone as pure as I to be willing to come here.”
”As one of the Purest High Elves, I would prefer to stay in Asulon.. One doesn’t always receive their desires. Yet, I’ve realized my kindness only goes so far around those of whom have less a need for it. I’ve taken a Vow of Benevolence, it’s a delicate situation, my magic stems from my vow. Soon after my birth, the skies opened, as the Aengul came to me, enchanted and in love by all that was and is myself, gifted me with the power to overcome and love all others, as Haelun tells it. It is a gift, one that others are honored to be in the presence of.”
(Please note that her POV is not accurate and is purely what she believes. She actually has a contract with a deity due to a secret deal her mother made, of which would’ve disgraced her entire family if it ever got out. She does not know about it.)
