Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"I come from a small town far to the north." "I became a hunter and a blacksmith—both for enjoyment and to earn a living." He smiles at the memory, thinking about the strange requests he’s received while working. "The work has given me plenty of scares and bruises." He gestures to the large scar over his left eye. "Still, it’s never stopped me from coming here to sell my goods." He smiles again, feeling proud as he thinks of the happy faces of his customers.
"My parents still live back in my hometown." "My mother is unemployed," and he pauses, feeling a twinge of sadness at the thought, ”but my father does the same work I do." His expression softens, smiling at the mention of his dad. ”He taught me everything I know about hunting and smithing." He nods slightly, feeling grateful for everything his father taught him.
