Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
*Hugh looks towards the hag slightly confused, as he had not told anyone outside of his village of his adventures*
Hugh responds "My name is Hugh Duffy. I don't think I've met you before. Who did you think I was?"
*Hugh takes a seat on the cushion*
He continues, "I have come with a purpose, however. I come from a remote village where I've grown strong helping on the village ranch, and have learned to use a sword from one of the town's elders. My village is a peaceful, and the one who taught me explained my purpose was elsewhere, that I could be of more service elsewhere."
*Hugh leans in towards the hag*
He then concludes, "Your wisdom precedes you. I'm looking for my purpose. If help isn't needed here, can you tell me what villages might need help from someone like me?"
