Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Of whose concern is that?" Ogden replies gruffly as he eyes the hag without fully facing her.
BACKSTORY:
Ogden grew up in a smithing family with a modestly succesful forge in Kal'Darakaan. As a young lad, he felt the pressure to follow the established path of his heritage, but he always dreamed to become a warrior of the same caliber as his family smithy's Frostbeard Clan clientele. Combining his inherited knowledge of weaponsmithing and his lofty aspirations, he plans to build the tools with which he will effect change though his combat skills are currently lacking. He was meek in his younger years having endured his family's ridicule toward his high-reaching plans, but that turned to a sometimes cross personality as he grew. Now, he regularly takes unsold wares to the market, secretly hoping to encounter a master mace wielder from whom he can learn the ways of melee. Unfortunately, Ogden's hotheaded nature and weak fighting often bring unwanted beatings at the pub.
