Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” Bo grabs a seat and begins to tell his story, "I was born and raised in the Rangulf Empire on a small village. Once I was of age I was sent to serve as a frontline meat bag. To this day the only reason I survived the first couple battles were of cowardice and luck nothing more." Bo begins to take a swig from his leather bag and the smell of alcohol can be smelled from his breath as he continues his story, "After a couple battles I managed to find a spot helping squires with their duties such as cleaning their knight clothes or help polish their armor. In return they helped get me a spot more in the center which was better than being the 1st line in a battle. As the days went on by I begin to watch the knights train the squires and one day I asked a squire to teach me a couple moves to help survive the battlefield. As the years begin to go on one of the knights had lost his squire in battle and needed a new one. He figured that the skinny looking yougin who was already a squire with no knight was a good enough to be a replacement." Bo begins to take another swig but the old hag stops him and says, "Finish your story then you can drink all you want." Bo giving a annoyed look puts away his drink and continues, "Since I knew most of the duties the Squires did I was able to handle my new tasks easily but the training and bruises were at least double than when I trained with the squires. The battles only got more fierce as the Knight I served was the name Sir Copenhagen and wanted to be the first to draw blood in battle. After many victories and defeats I was on patrol with my lord when we were ambushed and my lord took an arrow to the neck before he could even draw his sword and I was swiftly captured and tortured for information but on a moonless night I was able to escape the holding tent they kept me in. Not sure what would the Empire would do to me if I returned without my lord I fled that forsaken land and traveled here. Are you happy now lady." Bo begins to stand up and take another swig and walks out of the tent. He begins to walk towards a horse with the old lady following him. She holds a paper in her hands and says, "This should allow you to pass any gates but will only be good for a 1 time entry. What is your goal in coming here?" Bo finishes climbing upon his horse and replies, "I heard I had family in these parts. Hopefully I won't get into too much trouble". A smile is seen across his face and he begins to ride down the beaten path towards his destination.
