  1. This is rather hard, especially since I was literally just accepted to join this very interesting server. However, I just received some irl news that will put much of my gaming on hold for a while: I just got diagnosed with cancer and will have to step back for a bit to recover as best I can. I do apologize for the "join & run" sort of thing... I do hope that perhaps once this illness is finished I'll be able to return and actually play. Thanks much folks, and may your days be bright! Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Looks around warily at the floating candles as though afraid one will drop on her head at any moment. Absently brushing the dust from her pants Krynne then sits where the crone commanded. "I... I really don't know what you expect of me, ma'am. I'm simply a humble farmer of potatoes & wheat... or at least I was." Krynne gives another nervous laugh " I did win the fall fair on occasion with my homemade sourdough rolls..." Krynne pauses, feebly grinning for a slight moment, then nervously continues her story: "Yes, well, I... you see, um... well... I am travelling to find a new home to settle. You see, the storms were rather bad recently, so... um, I lost all I had." Krynne stares down at her rough hands folded in her lap. "To be honest, each year it was bad. I always lost so much, but there was usually enough to salvage for next season." Krynne looks up with a sad look on her face " But this was the worst, and well, I um... just... only... wish to settle in a new home, plant my crops, and share what I can with some new friends without the fear of storms to ravage my lands."
