Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Edward is slightly startled and seems to have not noticed the old hag "oh umm yes hello I'm terribly sorry i didn't exactly knock did i" Edward proclaims hastily. "but if you don't mind me asking, how exactly were you to be expecting me? i don't believe i know this town but if you must know what I'm doing then it'll cost you, no information comes without a price" Edward thrusts his hands into his pockets to turn them out emptying nothing onto the floor "or perhaps a roof over my head for the night would do just fine"
