Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Trent inspected the room as he stepped into it, not letting his facial features betray anything of what he thought as he did so, locking eyes with the hag as she caught sight of him and appeared to recognise him to some degree, which was odd considering he was certain he hadn't visited such a place before. Perking a brow with question and giving a slight smile, he found the command to simply talk to her an interesting one, and one that he wasn't going to turn down, considering he loved to make sure people knew who he was. Moving to the chair, he pulled it out and casually lowered into it, sitting in a very relaxed position with his legs wide and an arm over the back of it, continuing to gaze at the woman as he spoke "Expecting me? How interesting! I'll amuse your request, because I love to educate those on my reputation. Needless to say, you probably know my name then- Trent Jenson- but you clearly need more than that so allow me to excite you with my story!" By now, he was grinning widely, and began relaying his 'story' from his childhood and his upbringing, to his relationships, and then more importantly his feats as a sailor and privateer/pirate, explaining how he only tended to target the wealthy and those that 'deserved' it. Each event was told with several large words and exaggerations as he really emphasised making it a 'story' and not a simple telling of history. The telling of the story started with his childhood, explaining how his mother disappeared at an early age and how he was raised by his father and nanny from then on. The story then went on to detail how growing up was mainly spent being trained by his father in the ways of basic combat, and 'knightly' behaviours with the intention on making him follow in his footsteps, despite being retired and with little money to his name. However, as Trent was very happy to explain, he didn't wait for that part to happen and swiftly made off with what little funds he had to afford a ship with a crew of friends made during his time sneaking out at night to mingle with more 'common' folk by the docks. This, of course, is where he picked up how to sail and later put these skills to use in his privateering, borderline pirating life, allowing him to create a rather notorious name for himself about his ship the 'Devil's Rose'. Once on this part of his life, he re-told several adventures, including various times he had to fend off and deal with sea monsters of varying descriptions. Eventually, the blond man began to wrap up his tale of his life, having almost stood up several times during the time to highlight the magnitude of his tales. Now sitting forward with hands on his knees, he flashed the same confident, charming smile that he had possessed from the start and even gave the hag a wink "So... Was that what you were expecting? I usually charge an awful lot for such a vivid retelling of my time in this realm."
