Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Theraisys looks at her, wondering how the old hag was expecting her, "well.. okay" and sit on the cushion, trying to find a comfortable position, "I uh, was banished from my homeland... I fell in love with a halfling. I knew that my people did not approve of having relations with someone outside of our people... but, I just could not understand their hatred towards others, so I went out to find out what the other species were like. I met this extremely kind and caring halfling, and saw him frequently after traveling behind my family's back." Theraisy's breath hitched. She directs my eyes away from hers, "I guess I should have known they would find out, and when they did, I was told I was a disgrace to my people, and told to never return." Tears start welling Theraisy's eyes, trying to keep her composure. "I am not sure where else to go, right now... what should I do?"
