Elowen was born among the wood elves, in a quiet forest village now long reduced to ash. The orphanage that raised her was lost to flame when she was still young, and though time dulled the pain, the scent of smoke never truly left her memory. With nowhere left to belong, she was taken in by a secluded mushroom village, where bioluminescent caps lit the nights and kindness grew as freely as the spores beneath her feet.
Gentle by nature, Elowen became known for her willingness to help others, yet she carried a firm sense of right and wrong, shaped by loss and survival. She learned early that laws were not always just, and justice did not always follow the rules; but she would never abandon her own moral code.
Her life changed when she was sent to study among the high elves, in a school where magic was taught and carefully controlled. There, her curiosity blossomed into ambition. Magic was more than power; it was understanding, protection, and possibility. Dreaming of one day calling herself a true mage, Elowen chose to leave the safety of what she knew and set out into the wider world.
Now, travel-worn and hopeful, she finds herself stepping into the gates of an unfamiliar town, unaware that this place; and the choices she makes within it; may shape the mage she is destined to become.
