Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

She pauses at the opening for a moment, letting her eyes adjust to the light before stepping inside. She only sits down when told to. “I’m here for work,” she says bluntly. “Something that requires discipline and not too many questions.” After a short pause, she continues, more matter-of-factly than personally. “I was trained as a warrior from a young age. That’s what I can do. I travel alone, take on missions where my skills are needed, and don’t stay longer than necessary.” She meets the witch’s gaze, without defiance but without submission. “If you’ve been waiting for me, then I assume you know more than I do. So… what is it you want?”
