Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” Corin looked at his interlocutor and scratched his head with his right hand as he thought "I was born in 227, somewhere on Viru, and from what I understand, it was a turbulent time, and my parents didn't have an easy time. We ended up fleeing, but I don't know why, and to be honest, my parents never like to talk much about it." "My family eventually settled in a small village. There, we dedicated ourselves to agriculture. The land was green and vast, full of sheep. It was cold, but it had a beautiful starry sky." He smiled with a touch of nostalgia, looking at the woman "You know, my parents were always a bit odd. Even though we worked the land, and what I did most was herd sheep, they always insisted that I had to be well-mannered. So, when I did something wrong, they gave me long lectures about respect, honor, and a lot of other nonsense." "They taught me to read and write, and also a little bit of...Mathematics, which, to my surprise, was very useful for keeping track of the flock." "My father always carried a large sword with him. Although I never saw him use it, my mother always said he carried it to protect us, but I thought he did it for show." Corin laughs slightly after the comment "I'm sure you're wondering, 'So what does that have to do with you, kid?' Not much, really. I'm boring. My life was boring. Herding sheep was boring, so one day I decided to leave. I grabbed my things, left my parents a note, and left. I wanted to take the sword, but I don't know how to use it, so I left it with the old man." Corin raises an eyebrow, realizing he's being judged by the woman "What? Can't a young man want a better future than herding sheep? I'm not asking for the moon, I just want to see the world, see if it's really like the stories and legends. If I don't like it, I'll probably come back home." Corin looks away and sighs, but shakes her head, forces a smile, and looks back at the woman. "That's all. Any questions, comments, criticisms, advice, warnings, insults, or compliments you might want to give me?"
