Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "Not much I'm just passing through." "Bullshit..." barked the hag, "That's not what you are telling me." "What do you mean ? All said to you is that I am just passing through." "Nah nah nah..., Its your stance, and your eyes... They murmur of something deeper and more pressing in you." Dib-shaw just starred at her. anticipating, anything. His hand pressed against the handle of his blade, shoulders just beginning to tense. "I mean you no trouble," added the woman, stunting the tension. "The sight showed me things, your face, here, and a bridge of some sorts-." "Eeslah-doza?" dib-shaw promptly responded. "Yes Yes that is the one. Is it the one you seek, or come from?" Dib-shaw stopped and thought about what he should say next before he answered. Doing his best to conceal his indecision. His chest began to stir. "Dont worry about her," said a random villager huddled underneath one of the patch-work canopies. "She is just a bit loopy from the brew she makes, strong, nasty stuff." The Hag glared at the direction of the heckler; "It is not just a brew!", Then turning to Dib-shaw, "But simply a means for divination". Dib-shaw began to slowly walk away, continuing on his journey. "But I know of it, and how far it is from here!" the Hag called out to him. Dib-Shaw stopped, and faced the Hag. "Yespeklie?" (old tounge for Ye speaking of lies) "No, truly I speak onto to you I know exactly where it is." The Hag said assuredly. She then waved her hand about behind her in a upward motion. "And you are not far from it, Halfling." she added. Dib-Shaw stood still. A wave of anticipation and fear washed over him "Are you ok?" called out the Hag. He Jogged over to the Hag, she put up her hands in protect her self. Dib-shaw stopped when he was standing right up to her. "Where woman Where!. He pled. The wind began to pick up and the smell of rain was starting set in the air. "Just keep going the way you were going and turn to right at the fork." She stammered, Dib-shaw continued to stare very intently into her eyes. "And just keep going down the road and you will see it. Cant miss it." She added, now a little more composed as to when he first asked her. "Thank you." Dib-shaw spattered. He then sprinted down the road, as the wind blew harder and the first drops of rain began to fall. Turned right at the fork, and then ran as hard as he could until he saw the bridge, all the while being battered and washed over by the storm that has set in. After running for a short time, he froze. captivated by the apparition he saw in the middle of the bridge. The ghostly figure; tall slender, pale white and yellow, almost like an elongated box jellyfish, floating, shimmering and emitting a pearlescent glow, curiously jerking about upwards and downwards while in place. Almost as if the movements were the only way that it able to stay off of the ground. Juxtaposed to it pale color scheme, appearing as a stain on a sheet . there appeared a tangerine sized orb in the center, deep dark purple and reds covered the orb in blobs and stripes. Dib-shaw, slightly shaking with anticipation and fear. He felt a slight but very noticeable pulsating vibration coming from the pocket in his overcoat. 'The shard', He thought to himself, "okay, maybe this time." Immediately, the orb within the specter, appeared to shift it's focus onto Dib-Shaw. He then began to hear a low hum. Not loud but deafening, not debilitating but enough to feel it in his bones, his teeth, his ear drums and right behind his eyes, and in his chest. Dib-shaw couldn't break his gaze at the creature itself, and before he was aware of how unbreakable his concertation was, he found himself on the bridge. About 10 feet from the entity. On his knees. He then noticed the storm stopped and how everything else came to a stand still. All except for the excessive and incontrollable now, shaking and thrashing of the shard within his pocket, now ripping and tearing to get out of the coat. It began to glow and get heat up. Then in a piercing small and clear voice, the shrouded figure spoke. " You have found the shard, just as I have asked ". Just then the burning and thrashing in coat began to intensify further. His garments began to unravel at the seams and a glowing light began shine out from his chest. It got brighter and brighter until finally it was freed from him. Right in front of Dib-Shaw hovered right above his head just out of arms reach. There was the shard, the same color and pattern of the orb that was embedded in the ethereal shroud. "Alou-sh'oun" The creature emitted Dib-Shaw's vision began to blur, everything got bright. He can feel more chanting and incantations that the entity was spewing, the humming intensified to shakes and tremors. Until at last, Dib-Shaw passes out.
