Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"you were expecting me?, I would have thought no one would know!"
says Corvin who starts to back away before rethinking and sitting down
"Ah well I guess I cant expect total secrecy, I will tell you why I am here." Corvin continues
"I always helped my father at the farm and so I should have known better but that was not to be."
Corvin then takes a deep breath and starts the story
"it was a normal day and I was doing the chores at the farm, my next chore was to feed the cattle which I did every day."
Corvin shuffles uncomfortably
"That day though I made a mistake, I forgot that there were calves and by habit I entered the enclosure instead of poring the feed over the fence"
"luckily for me my father was nearby and pulled me out before I got too far in."
Corvin sighs heavily
"I still hear his bones breaking as the bull charged into him thinking we were endangering the calves"
"After my fathers death my mother told me that I wasn't wanted and so I left, I have travelled far to find a new life and here I am"
Corvin looks shaken after recalling the events and leaves the tent
