Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I sit down as I take in the surroundings, "I am looking for a place to settle down and explore. It was the dying wish of my brother to set off and make something of my life in any way that I can." I say this somewhat bitterly "my parents were killed in a raid which left me and my brother orphaned he wanted to stay noble with his intentions and make a h9onest living. I instead went on to steal and harm the criminals of our town. I pause closing my eyes as if remembering the days. "Then one day someone I had robbed showed at our house and killed my brother in his final words he begged me to live my life to the fullest and always do the right thing. he begged me to give up my criminal ways and to live a life he would be proud of". I finish my story beating back the moisture that builds in my eyes
