Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

He feels confused by the old hag, but he enters anyway, thinking it might be fun after all. After all, you have to take risks or end up in strange situations in life if you want to make money. He sits down.
"Well, I’m here to make money."
He does not react to the smell of rotten wood.
"How rude of me. I am Robin Rosetaker, the son of a traveling merchant. My father lost our business by making bad deals, so I came here to earn money—and maybe even buy my way into the nobility. So I have a question for you: do you know the best way to make money here?"
