Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?)
As I settle onto the damp cushion, the scent of old herbs and lavender fill the tent , masking the scent of the swamp. I try to gather my words but my mind is still foggy from the long trek. As I start to speak and gather my thoughts, "Shaking the dust off of my cloak." I am from the deep valleys where secrets are kept in stone. I have found my way here to your murky bog by following a trail of blood Diamonds. I lean forward and whisper to the old hag, while the candlelight reflects in my eyes. "I am looking for the one who has broken the ancient Vault of the Dark Treasures. "Something tells me you did not just invite me in for tea and small talk. You must know the secrets that the ancestors of this land have hidden. If you want my help you must tell me everything." I stand up and cross my arms. So tell me what you know and I will be at your service.. for a price of course. The Old Hag stares me down and looks lost in thought.. as if She is trying her best to hold her snakelike Tongue. She beckons me closer to her and whispers in my ear. "You must earn this information by showing me that I can trust a slippery Elf like you." "Show me that I can trust you by doing some favors for me" Then we can talk business." *I think to myself, Is it worth it, to do favors for someone I barely know* This could be a trap* "I answer back, "How can I trust you?" How can I know you are not part of the dark magic who has broken the Vault of Treasures." If you can answer me this and convince me you mean well, Only Then can we join forces and fight evil for good..."
