Isolde was born the daughter of a scribe in Númendil. Her father was well respected and played an important role in academia. He made his living through his work and the connections he built with those who could not read and write themselves.. Because of her father’s job, Isolde rarely remained in one place for long; as a result, most of her personal connections were with the children of her father’s clients. Because of her father, Isolde learned at a very young age how to read and write. With her focused skill set, she spent her apprenticeship following and learning from him, just as she had done before. She knew she was destined to become a scribe like her father, but she wanted to take it a step further. Isolde became deeply interested in traveling and learning from her journeys. Furthering her education, she developed a passion for languages. She began to travel with the intention of learning as much as she could about languages and other cultures (if this is allowed). Isolde made it her mission to become a translator and documenter, using the skills she had learned from her father.
