Iestien was the only child of a wealthy High Elf merchant and his wife . Disconcerted by her father's unfair actions, she attempted to leave her hometown in Okarn'thilln several times with nothing but the clothes on her back. Unsure of where she was headed, Iestien wanted to run away from the image that her parents set before her and the life she never asked for. She wanted to head for a city where no one knew of her and her family. She had planned to go to the Caurost realm. Unfortunately, each time her father sent mercenaries after her to retrieve her, and keep her ready to be married off to another High Elf. Eventually, she developed some useful practical everyday skills. From being out in the unknown and getting caught one too many times, she had the ability to pickpocket well, and disguising oneself. All of these proved to be helpful in her last escape; As soon as she heard the guard who held the key, she hid herself, forcing him to enter to check on her. Quickly, as soon as the guard was inside, she disguised herself as another guard, swiped his keys, and walked out a free woman. Over many years, she had troubles and adversities of her own, and periodically she became incredibly paranoid until she had heard of her father's death. Then, she was sure that she was free.
