Juniper Emberwood was raised within the dense, ancient groves that cling to the outskirts of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. While many of their kin preferred the deep silence of the tunnels, Juniper’s family, consisting of 2 parents and a younger brother, lived as foragers who valued the secrets of the soil over the riches of the mine. From a young age, Juniper was taught to identify every root and sprout, developing a "Dwarven greed" that focused on rare botanical seeds rather than gold. Despite the comfort of their home grove, the restless rustle of the wind through the pines eventually became too loud to ignore. At nineteen, Juniper packed their few belongings, eager to document the diverse flora found across the different realms of the map. They left their family with a promise to return only once their satchel was heavy with the seeds of a thousand different forests.
