Over time, those plants stabilized the land in subtle ways, not restoring it to its old brilliance, but making it endure harsher seasons. It wasn’t magic that conquered anything—it was balance, earned slowly.
She eventually left the Hollow carrying Shadepetal seeds, planting them wherever sorrow or collapse lingered too long. She never called it heroism. Just tending.
And so the name Nyrix Shadepetal stuck, not because she ruled anything, but because wherever she passed, faint twilight blooms followed 🌙
