Eöl was a Sindarin elf who grew disillusioned with the bright and proud courts of other elves. He felt that their love of light and beauty hid arrogance and control beneath the surface. Seeking truth and independence, he left his people and retreated into the deep forest of Nan Elmoth. There, he lived in isolation, becoming a master smith who worked best in shadow and secrecy. Over time, his solitude hardened him, making him distrustful and possessive of what he created. Though not originally evil, his choices led him down a darker path that separated him completely from elven society.
