Sami was born in Neuva Vida, among the warm streets and close-knit families of the Kingdom of Hyspia.
He was raised by a modest household: his father worked as a trader of cloth and small goods, while his mother often helped neighbors with cooking, mending, and errands around the city.
As a human of Hyspian blood, Sami grew up hearing stories of Horen, the Canonist faith, and the struggles of the descendants across Aevos and the newer lands of Azuras.
Tall, brown-skinned, brown-eyed, and known for his curly hair, he was never the sort to stand out through noble birth, but he carried himself with quiet confidence and a friendly nature.
His childhood was mostly peaceful, though the talk of wars, shifting alliances, and the Horenic Covenant made him realize that even ordinary people could be affected by the choices of kings and princes.
When Sami turned eighteen, he began to feel that remaining in his family’s home would leave him with too small a life and too few chances to prove himself.
With his parents’ blessing and only a casual outfit, a few coins, and the lessons of his upbringing, he left Neuva Vida to travel the roads of Azuras.
Now Sami hopes to find honest work, meet new companions, and build a name for himself beyond the safety of his homeland.
