Having wandered for several decades now, he thinks not of home. His blood family is in the past, and remains there. No, his home now is the open road and the adventures he finds himself on. His family are the passing adventurers whom he meets along the way, sometimes staying and sometimes leaving. They are transient, as is he. His biological family is of the Spiritualist persuasion; however, he saw things in a different light: they believed their home to be among fungi, while he believed that home is where you make it. Thus, he was cast out to fend for himself among the peoples of the world.

This led to his family slowly and inevitably disassociating with him almost entirely, from general unacknowledgement to general distrust. He eventually made the decision to leave home, with just the supplies on his back, he set off into the world unknown, beginning his life on the road.
