Laavyyr was born 19 years ago to a couple of dark elven wandering traders who traveled throughout the region, with their house on the outskirts of the Blistergrove. Laavyyr grew up rather sheltered, but was always taught to be kind to others. However, when Laavyyr was young, tragedy struck. His mother, Seylyyr, fell mysteriously ill and passed away, leaving Laavyyr and his father alone. Laavyy's father fell into grief. And as grief often strikes, so too does it claim those around it; Laavyyr's father turned to religion when a few locals of the blistergrove heard of Seylyyr's death. The group of friendly individuals invited Laavyyr's father to their religious services. This more often than not left Laavyyr to run parts of the shop by himself. Eventually, Laavyyr began noticing changes in his father's demeanor and secretly followed one evening to investigate. However, the young dark elf was not exactly expecting to stumble upon a small cult of Iblees, who took advantage of Laavyyr's father's grief to recruit a new loyal member. Before Laavyyr could sneak back out, he was caught and brought in front of the service for judgment. Laavyyr didn't exactly know what was going on, but the members of the cult of Iblees deemed that, for trying to sneak into their worship, Laavyyr should be held on-site. Laavyyr's father even agreed. It was thinly veiled imprisonment. A light punishment, considering his father was a follower. And so, Laavyyr became an unwilling member of the cult for a time. The only way out would have been converting to a true believer or being an eventual sacrifice, so Laavyyr played the fool and allowed them to think they'd be receiving a new member. Eventually, Laavyyr was let off the leash just long enough to make a break for it. Now, Laavyyr remains on the move, hoping to not be re-entangled in religious exploitation. Though he's not sure his father and the followers are looking for him, he's much too nervous to stop keeping watchful eyes in the back of his head.
