Jonathan came from a wealthy, well-respected family known for their strict etiquette, political connections, and obsession with public reputation. From a young age, however, Jonathan struggled to fit into that polished world, as his impulsive nature and blunt honesty constantly clashed with his tutors and relatives. His tendency to start spontaneous fights, usually in defence of strangers or over perceived injustice, earned him a reputation as “unruly” rather than noble. Things eventually reached a breaking point after a particularly public incident where Jonathan humiliated a visiting noble during a heated dispute that turned physical, staining his family’s standing. Rather than attempt to reform him further, his family made a cold decision: Jonathan was quietly exiled under the excuse of “sending him to broaden his horizons.”, forced out with no coin. Now living as an adventurer, he travels across the land trying to prove that honour isn’t defined by etiquette, but by action and conviction. Despite his exile, he still carries traces of his upbringing, such as polished speech slipping through at odd moment, making him feel like a noble trying to become something more honest than what he was born into.
