Born within the community of Diaspora. Lynx Mannix grew up without ever truly calling one place home. He wanders through places, hiding in trees or holes in the ground for safety. Lynx did have a family; he wasn’t exactly poor but wasn’t born in wealth. He used to live a comfortable life. He had to not worry about many things in life, but one day. everything changed during the night Lynx was asleep in his bed, the night was silent and peaceful, until his mother burst through the door and carried him out of bed, taking him outside to a shed and stuffed him in a secret compartment in the floor of the shed. His mother spoke softly though fear trembled in her voice telling him to stay silent and to never open the door till sunrise, as she shut the door to the compartment, she grabbed some hay and threw them on the ground covering the compartment. As Lynx stayed silent and hidden under the shed, he could hear laughter and screams of his mother, and the sound of swords clashing together. Lynx trembled in fear, he was confused about what was happening, but by his mother's orders he stayed where he was till fell asleep. By sunrise he opened the compartment door and stepped out slowly towards the shed door. He slowly pushed the door open to be met with bloodshed. His mother and father were brutally killed, alongside a dark spawn that was slain. Lynx stood at the door of the tears forming in his eyes, he eventually built up a little courage to walk out the shed and walked over to his mother and father’s body and stared. His heart shattered seeing his own parents. He fell to his knees and wept. The grief taking over him. Then suddenly a hand gripped his wrist, it was his father’s hand Lynx thought he had a parent that would survive, he quickly tried to tend to his father's wounds. But at his age he knew nothing he was only 12, but his father just held his wrist, and he weakly dragged himself up, He tried to speak soft, but he was choking on his own blood. “Do not grieve over the loss of your mother and I... you must go on and live life. . . you must now grow to become something. . . may the moon shine your path. . .” Lynx just stared at his father, unable to stutter a word out, as his father hand released his wrist and his body went limp. Lynx was now alone, unsure what to do, he decided to listen to his father. Now Lynx roams, from town to village being careful where he steps, he cautions when he interacts with anyone.
