Wronged by the world, seeking vengeance. Helstri was orphaned by a single father, named Lyraen, after the unfortunate passing of her own, unknown parents during her infancy. Lyraen had also lost his only child and wife years ago, and the two quickly formed a symbiotic bond due to their own tragedies. They both resided in some backwater village in the realm of Azuras somewhere in the space to the right of Númendil. Neither of the two were out of trouble, Helstri often rebelled against the adults of the village, gaining the title of a troublemaker, and her adopted father would involve himself with the wrong people just for a lick of coin. At the end of the day, they may have had opposing views- Helstri thought it was fun, Lyraen thought it was dangerous, but they were still family and cared deeply for each other.
Unfortunately, as is the will of the world, Lyraen's actions eventually caught up to him on Helstri's 13th birthday. Having earned the reputation of a daring criminal, the villagers grew tired of the mere presence of Helstri and Lyraen. Come night-time, the villagers would force Lyraen out of his residence, and judge him right there on the streets. Many were biased, honestly surprised at how they'd let someone like Lyraen dwell for so long. Theft, fraud, even murder, a villager read the list of crimes that Lyraen had committed for pay. The villagers, unprofessionally and full of bias, would declare the death penalty upon Lyraen, and he would be executed next morning. Helstri was asleep for the happenings, until it was morning, where she witnessed Lyraen, her father figure, murdered. This sent her into a spiraling abyss of thoughts, of how she wanted to kill everyone in the village, burn it all down, vocalizing said thoughts with shrieks and screams.
Then, the day after that, Helstri left the village. Alone, afraid, enraged, it was better to leave than to linger, lest she meet the same fate come adulthood. During her further development, all of her relationships felt superficial, transactional. Nothing stuck, and she pushed away those who wanted to be close. She thought that if someone were to get close again, they'd just end up dying.
Present day, she wanders aimlessly, hoping life will carry her to her next experience.
