Biography of Morolas Greenleaf

Morolas’ parents lived far from the center of Aegis. His father was the leader of a small tribe. When Iblees unleashed his fury against Krug, Morolas’ father was called to war. Morolas’ mother, Urwen, was left alone, in early pregnancy. All the men of the village were fighting the summoned dead.
Almost nine months later, Urwen gave birth to Morolas. It was a beautiful baby, with golden hairs. He was hailed and welcomed by the women and children of the tribe. They organized a great feast that evening. And for one night, everyone forgot the war and the absence of their men. But the happiness didn’t last…
The next morning a messenger arrived. The village was still asleep after the great feast. So the messenger woke up one of the people. This person was Miriel, wife of Cugedhion, one of the best archers of the tribe. The messengers asked her where to find Urwen. She told him to wait while she would announce his presence to Urwen. Urwen had just fed Morolas when Miriel entered. Miriel told her a messenger had arrived to see her. Urwen approved to let him enter.
The messenger knelt before her, and did not look her in the eyes while he said the message. Morolas’ father died in battle. Urwen was shocked and ran away. She ran through the village, watched by all the awakening villagers. They didn’t know what was happening. Miriel tried to catch up with her, but failed. Urwen had already jumped off a cliff. And at that sudden moment, Morolas’ hair turned black.
Miriel, who could not give birth, took over the mothership of Morolas. And when Cugedhion returned from battle, he became father of Morolas who now was a child of 29 years old. He trained Morolas in the art of archery. Cugedhion and Miriel treated Morolas like he was their own son.
Nobody had ever dared to tell Morolas what happened to his true parents. He didn’t even know that Miriel and Cugedhion were not his parents. When Morolas turned 50 and was a well-trained archer, Miriel and Cugedhion decided to tell him the truth. When Morolas heared the truth, he soon prepared for a pilgrimage. He wanted to fight for the capital of Malinor, in the honor of his father. The new evil that Iblees created, the orcs, should not destroy the land his father died for.
Now Morolas is still on his pilgrimage to Laurelin. Morolas is trying to survive on his own. The ruins of the battle with Iblies are keeping him from arriving fast. Also the orcs that are in Malinor yet, are slowing down his pilgrimage. He has seen a lot of evil on his journey. He lost the feeling of time, and he has not seen any civilization for a few years. So he lost track of time, he does not know his own age. But he’s getting close to Laurelin, where his destiny begins...
