Oren Militia.
The Great kingdom of Oren now has a militia. This is an organized militia where citizens of Oren can sign up and help defend their homeland.
Even though it‘s called a militia, it serves more as an army. Once you’ve joined you may be called up too partake in war or just defend Oren from its enemies. When you join, you don’t enlist in endless military service. You’ll only be needed when you’re called on to defend or attack any enemies of the throne.
To be eligible to join you must have all the following requirements:
-Be a citizen of Oren (Live in Oren)
-Have a non-criminal past
-Be always ready to pick up arms and fight for Oren and the King.
Once you’ve joined you must follow certain rules. See below.
Rules:
-Always follow your superior officer commands.
-Deserters will be punished with jail time (if you wish to quit the militia, please make a formal resignation)
-Committing any criminal acts (robbing, murdering etc. ) will result in you kicked form the militia.
-You must report to Sergeant GrimBeard or General Giffords when called for war.
The military system & chain of command.
This militia is divided into platoons of 5 men, 2 swordsmen, 1 medic (carrying a sword) and 2 archers. Each platoon is commanded by a Lieutenant and each platoon has a sergeant too take command if the Lieutenant is absent.
Medics carry food and give it too soldiers when they need it.
When in battle, the general commands all the platoons and gives orders to the Lieutenants. This way we can communicate and organize battles much better.
Note: this system may be tweaked or expanded.
The chain of command is always important in any military, so it’s important that it’s followed.
General > Lieutenant > Sergeant > Swordsman/archer/medic
Equipment.
Bringing your own equipment is not mandatory but recommended. You will most likely get equipment when you’re called for war but bringing your own equipment will make sure you have the best and right equipment for battle. We cannot guarantee standup equipment for everyone.
Wages.
