i’m not shitposting but can you please stick to your designated expertise and let someone who’s sufficiently experienced in recent community management and actually engaged with the community do this please
you are absolutely not suited to the role of community admin telanir
100%
I think that we can really chalk the Muffins issues up to first being someone who is unsuited for being an admin and second that is out of touch with what the community and staff under their ‘command’ need.
Solution to the first issue? Get a new admin who as Xarkly says is already experienced in Community management, and not delegate the shunned admin to some silt administrative position.
Solution to the second issue? Get a new admin who as Xarkly says is in touch with the community. I have nothing against Telanir personally, but I think it would be silly to say that he’s fully in touch with the community. As a player first and staff second, Telanir seems to disappear for months or weeks at a time and only pops his head in to “facilitate transitions of power” and make changes to teams, or to handle big drama outbursts. Whether that’s actually accurate or not, the semblance of activity (or lack thereof) is rather hard to look past and leaves a bit of a worrying feeling.

Kalius Tresery reads the decree, nodding slightly as he did so. However upon completion he would begin frowning slightly, pursing his lips in thought. He would turn to whatever Eldarhim near him, speaking in a somber tone.
”A bold move one can respect, but our kin best temper their attitudes and pay heed to the consequences of their actions. Perhaps our people bested the Uruks under the flag of the Dominion, but we are the Dominion no longer. We wax and wane much like the moon, and I daresay we have waned of late.”

-1 Your name came up frequently in moderation over the last few months. A well written app with some good comments, but I think your actions speak louder than words. Your actions show a disregard for even the most basic of rules, and accepting someone to work on conflict rules just because they’re good at pvp and get involved in many conflict situations does not automatically qualify them to work on such systems and seems a misstep on my end should you be accepted for that.

Kalius Tresery sits somewhat slumped in front of the fire pit within Last Light Camp. His face is dirty and gaunt with small splatters of blood splashed across his face, deeply juxtaposed from his typical obsessive cleanliness. His lower thigh is wrapped in a bandage, soaked through with now dried blood. He runs his dirt caked hands through his hair, pushing the greasy strands back, fingertips hesitating slightly as he feels the hair on the sides of his head longer than he has felt in many, many years. Head resting softly on a closed fist, he reads over the letters sent out by the so called Princes. A fire lights in his eyes, but it is not an invigorating fire, burning brightly with the newfound hope of the Princes words. Rather it is a smoldering fire, fueled by anger and pity as it burns just beneath the surface. Anger at the incompetence and passive nature of the leaders of Aegrothond and Siramenor, and pity for those who they are meant to protect.
He finishes reading with a loud snort, crumpling the paper into a ball and tossing it into the roaring fire.
”Fools, they’ve only doomed themselves. Fancy words will not save them now.”

Each tile in the world will be regioned and given a specific primary and possibly secondary type. Primary types include plains, forests, and mountains. Secondary would be desert, underground, and coastal.
Only question I have after reading is about this... How is a forest a primary region type but a desert a secondary? Does this have to do with the frequency of the regions across the map or is this some random assignment? As someone who has spent plenty of time in deserts in the last two maps I would argue that a desert is a primary region, but it might not be a huge deal.
Otherwise, looks fun! I hope that we will see more information on the professions and the full system before 8.0 release so that we aren’t all left scrambling to figure **** out.

wood elves have leaned away from a forest culture of interest and intrigue towards the allure of playing scantily-clad “””tribal””” elf characters and grooming new playersDogshit excuse tbh. I've been around on this server and never experienced “furry uwu” rp. I have experienced “feral” elf petplay, and people rping “loli” halflings (there's nothing anime fans love more than to project their own deviant sexual predilections onto furries!) If you want to address ppl putting bizarre fetish overtones into roleplay, then why don't you do that, instead of collectively punishing players who have done nothing wrong?
The rewrite they were trying to pass through that got denied addressed “kitten” roleplayers and tried to bring back a unique culture. But failing that, literally every race has deviated from its original imagination. Of course they've “narratively devolved;" roleplay on the server has become significantly worse. They don't have “le isles of intrigue” because even if they tried to build them the world team does not permit them to be built. Again the logic for this punishment doesn't make sense, if you wanted to promote activity, you'd promote it. Telling races that were previously told to ride along with a bigger nation that they're not “unique” or “interesting” enough isn't just unfair, it's absurd.
You can't hold kharajyr to a standard higher than any other CA creature, and there are some pretty braindead flavorless CA creatures (see: ghosts, wonks). If you're afraid people aren't role-playing “intrigue,” you could make this server less of a monotonous OOC chore by not forcing people to rewrite their lore.
I mean, I don’t totally disagree with how you try to flip the script on the wood elves. But you wanna know the difference between the two? Their activity. Even through constant splintering and drama the wood elves can maintain nation status activity, even if which nation that is changed constantly.
I don’t wholly disagree with your second point either. There do need to be tools that enable leaders to promote RP. But they do already have some of these, especially the NLs with proven activity and longevity. But it’s a waste of time and resources to try to artificially breathe life into an already niche playerbase by say spoon feeding them events or something. Had the Kha been capable of sustaining their own activity I might be inclined to say “sure, throw them a bone” but I don’t personally think there’s been substantial evidence there that it’s worth sinking time into the race as a whole.
Nor would I disagree with a call to shelf the wonks and ghosts. I’d advocate for both to be shelved along with the Kha. Hell, throw in the Hou for a total shelf of independent CA races so we can get some fresh ideas and concepts in here.

- Kharajyr must move past being Khajiit rip-offs and establish a proper culture that can be rooted well in the modern server, and exist to foster interesting role-play you cannot find elsewhere. I loathe “Furry” rp personally, because on WoW, I witnessed so much deplorable behavior and disgusting stuff going on with the races of beast-men, and have seen them abused in many other RP communities.
Biggest thing for me tbh.
I remember on launch there was actual allure and interest in them because they offered something new to players. They could go make a Kha and start their journey on a series of islands plagued by interest and intrigue to the outside eye, meanwhile exploring a new tribal culture and government and dynamic RP with how the Kha subraces all melded together into a single society. It might not have been 100% the case in the reality of the situation, but looking at the niche the Kha provided on their launch was a unique, fun and mysterious tribal group that could really stand to grow into something.
It seems that the Kha have actually leaned away from this and in turn their culture started stagnating and their playerbase struggling to maintain numbers and activity. Again, while I’m sure the Kha were not as perfect on launch as I recall, it seems as if they’ve narratively devolved for the sake of easy RP and the allure of generic “furry uwu” RP.

The Fallacies of Free Thought
How free thought has bred ignorance, and how we may hope to rectify it.
Kalius Tresery, 1784
Preface
In these papers we shall explore how the multifaceted beliefs of Mali have led us to a crossroads in the future of our people. This is not to say that Freedom of Thought is inherently a bad thing, but rather that overtime our great people have become pulled in too many directions or unable to see a mutual ground in order to feel different and special. At no point should one believe that Freedom of Thought should be thrown out the window, for we should not be subject to tyranny and abuse from large governments and entities. But rather we should see that Free Thought should be leaned into at the core of what it is, and allow others to challenge your ideas and beliefs that are wrongly set in stone. With Free Thought one must understand that above all it is ignorant to believe yourself superior, or solely correct, because you are capable of corroborating your beliefs through data that supports them.
Throughout the more recent several hundred years of recorded history there is a clear trend that can be seen among the Mali people when it comes to the success of their many nations and the elevation of religion. While there is inherently nothing wrong with devotion to one's God(s) and the virtues that can be gleaned from worship, therein lies a problem when a singular religion is enforced upon an entire people, and especially when this is done so in a manner that invalidates and places other beliefs on a pedestal of hate and disdain. As it would be unfair to the ‘Thill to fail to do so, we must also examine the impact that placing hatred at purely a cultural level has upon a people and on a race as a whole and how the means that drives one to can be divisive.
However, we cannot be so naive to take this to mean that religions and belief sets are to be accepted without question. Those who act as conduits for the dark, eldritch energies that inhabit our mortal realm should be given no mercy or quarter. During my time spent as el’Annil of the Sulierir’Elame I spent many years hunting spooks and bringing them to a swift end. Their presence should unequivocally not be allowed so they are unable to sow the seeds of discord and chaos.
We shall examine several key points that have been an ongoing source of turmoil within recent history. Through a retrospective, introspective and extrospective lens we may hope to glean insight on many topics. This includes, but is not limited to, the naelurir and their evolution and struggle with what it means to be truly wild, the splintering of the ‘Ker upon cultural and religious lines, and how vitriol and purity only lead to unbridled chaos and corruption of Mali.

Kalius Tresery reads over the missive, bobbing his head slightly as he considers the young elfs words.
”Ti, well said llir. It is only through clear, forward thinking that our people will be able to flourish once more. We must come together, in the names of the kin we have lost and the cities left to rot,” he says aloud, more or less to himself.

Rexes Declaration of 1790
To the Uruks of the Krugmar,
In light of recent declarations made by the Clan Raguk the Rex sees it fit to make the following declaration in response on behalf of all signed Wargoths.
We shall not see brother spill the blood of brother over a petty clan issue. Despite the traitorous words spit by Matumahk, threatening the Goi with fire and brimstone, Krugmar shall not intervene in this issue. If it is the head of Kilug and Akila that the Raguk desire, then those of Clan Raguk are free to pursue this as they see fit.
Akila wishes to see justice brought down upon those he deems have wronged him and his clan. Matumahk wishes to see justice brought down upon those he deems have wronged him and his clan. Settle your differences in a honor klomp. Settle them in a clan war. Settle them however you see fit, but cease dragging the proud nation of Krugmar into your petty hostilities and games.
Should those of Clan Raguk or Clan Lur wish to seek an audience with the Rex and the Council of Wargoths they are free to do so, however Matumakh, Akila and Kilug are asked to refrain from attending given their implication in the matter.
Signed,
Hargurr’Gorkil, Dominus of Krugmar, Wargoth of Clan Gorkil
Murdok’Lak, Rex of Krugmar, Wargoth of Clan Lak
Krothuul’Ram, Targoth of Krugmar, Wargoth of Clan Ram
Drekür’Ungri, Wargoth of Clan Ungri, Champion of Enrohk
Krezt’Ox, Wargoth of Clan Ox
Fiil’Yar, Wargoth of Clan Yar
*The bottom of the page is stamped with an image of a Scorpion, the image slightly faded and warped as if impressed by something old.*
((There will be an IRP meeting this Friday at 3 PM EST all orcs are welcome to attend to discuss anything related to the current things happening in Krugmar.))
