  1. *A note is sent to all of the auxiliary leaders*

"All of the hold's auxiliary are required to send a roster to Grand Marshal Roggar Ireheart. If you do not send me a roster of the men you have you will be removed as leader of the auxiliary and replaced by someone more capable of the position."

*The wolves that brought the message sit there waiting for a response to bring back*

  2. Nation Crossing Warclaim

    dwarwes_war_council_by_deeedge-d5kd1te.j

After the recent events of an attack upon a Dwarven Lord, Nalro Grayhammer and continuous breaking of the blood pact by Oren forces, Legion troops work harder than ever during practices. Archers practice in the ranges and  soldiers drill in combat and formations.

After Legion officers sit in a cramped office they finally decide that the first fight will be on the land known as the “Nations Crossing”. A message is sent out to the lieutenants to ready the troops. A message to the Holds to ready their auxiliaries. And finally a message to their allies for a call to arms.

A single grunt breathes heavily as he runs through the tunnels. At last he reaches a tower that stretches high above the ground. As he reaches the top he takes a moment to catch his breath. Then he moves over to a tube sticking up from the ground. On the end sticking up is a mouthpiece. He then moves over to it and, summoning a breath, blows deeply into it. On the sides of the tower a sudden eruption of noise is sent out. The horn not blown for decades sends out a clear call that bounces off the mountain tops and alerts every Dwarf, Human, and Elf loyal to the Empire.

The Dwarven armies, holds, and allies begin to march toward the Nation Crossings ready for battle. The soldiers footsteps coincide with each other while the drums of war beat.

  3. *Roggar nods to one of his commanders to call in the other Legionnaires. The commander nods to him and calls in the Legion. Roggar stands on the podium and begins speaking with a loud voice so all the Legion can hear.*

"Legion! Sharpen yer swords and string yer bows. Shine yer armah an' groom yer beards. Weh beh goin' tah war wit' Oren. Practoices will beh 'eld everehday su dat ye' are nae jus' sitin' der doin' nuthin'! Weh will 'ave patrols patrolin' our lands tah make sure our enemy beh nae tryin' tah sneak up on us! Weh will nae beh defeated!"

*Raises his axe and calls out to the Legion*

"FER DA EMPIRE! FER DA LEGIUN! AN' FER URGUAN!"

  4. *The message is pulled down from the notice boards with a new note in place*

Everyone who did not inform the Legion that they were still active within us will be removed from the Legion roster. If you were removed from the roster you will need to re apply.

  5. *Roggar listens to his nephew and then begins to think to himself as he walks to back in forth in back room not being noticed because of everyone else arguing over Dreek. He begins to realize what he had been saying and saw that he was betraying his own clan by saying it. He looks up to the crowd and begins to speak.*

"Eh withdraw all meh claims un Dreek Ire'eart, meh clan brotheh an' meh own blood!"

*Roggar finishes speaking and heads to the back of the palace to a darkened corner and continues to watch the trial go on.*

  6. *Roggar still looking at Dreek begins speaking again*

"How was I supposed to do my job when I only had 150 minas to my name. You can not give me a job and not give me the minas to actually do the job. About me not telling you about the iron is because I was trying to scrounge up enough minas to actually do my job and buy iron for the Legion. When I finally got enough to buy the Legion some iron I place the newly bought iron into the chest and that is when I discovered the missing iron, but before I could tell you the iron was missing you had already been fired from your position. So don't tell me that I was not doing my job when I clearly was doing my job."

  7. *Roggar looks to Dreek after hearing his speech*

(Written in normal speech so it is easier to read)

"Dreek, first I would like to state that you were not removed from Lord, but you actually stepped down. Also on the subject of you not paying the clan I believe that you have already payed back that crime by giving 30,000 to the new clan father. You mention that the kingdom made you pay out of your own coffers when really you told the kingdom that you would pay. So I believe that crime should be payed back in full."

*Roggar’s voice begins to gain a angry tone to it as he continues.*

"Now the last thing that I can mention would be on the topic of the stolen iron. How does 125 iron ingots slip your mind? You don’t even inform your commanders on what your doing. You simply walk into the armory and take the iron and forget about it? I believe something has affected your brain."

  8. *William can hold the tears no more and falls to his knees as he sees the corpse of his father*

"I... shouldn't have left. I was the only one he had. His own son left him... "

*William slowly stands wiping tears away, but as fast as he is wiping them away they come back.*

" ...but not this time. I wish to help bury him with you."

    Armor Regulations

Regulations regarding the use of armor are an important part of maintaining the might of the military, due to the simplicity of doing harm to the metal suit of armor these tenets have been placed to prevent such harm from occurring.

Ways one can harm the condition of the armor:

-Getting struck with any form of arms including bare hands

    -Being pelted with snow

    -Being pelted with eggs

To show respect do not do the above to your comrades. There is also the assault law to take into consideration as well. If damage another dwarfs armor enough then you must surrender your own armor to them as punishment.

    When off duty:

The Legionnaire must not bear his suit of armor nor utilize it in any scenario such as hunting (A stone sword can be requested for free) and should have it stored away safely in his or her bunk, if a Stoneguard or higher is caught using their armor off duty they will be disciplined and will have to suffer a honor reduction as well as pay for the repairs.

    When on duty:

Only use your armor effectively when encountering an armed conflict (Equip Armor into your slots), if any other scenario you are to not wear your armor as to prevent harm, armor may be used as an intimidation factor if required at any point in time.

    Training

    Combat:

Military practice is often done once or twice every Dwarvish year to hone the skills of both recruits and veteran soldiers so that battles may be planned in advance and new tactics be learned in order to ensure that the Dwarvish “war engine” runs efficiently during times of war or battle and allow for fresh meat (recruits) to easily gain the necessary skills that make for the important components of the Dwarvish combat style.

    Group practice:

    - Organized by Legionnaires on permission of Grand Marshal / Commander -

    Parading (marching in formation)

    Drilling (Fighting in formation)

    Hunting (To train one’s skills)

Combat Practice (To train one’s fighting prowess)

    Formations:

    - Aemiz

    - Vel

    - Dree Vel

    Guard Duty:

The Duty of Guarding is a crucial role within the capital, Militants within the Legion are expected to serve for one Dwarvish year with pay to protect the Hold and may after obtain more pay by doing more guard work, duties of guarding often include:

    Gate management

Is the duty in which a Legionnaire is to protect the iron gateway of the capitql, during this time it is his or her goal to open and close the gates depending on whom is requesting entry, there are two types of phrases a Guard must adhere to when challenging someone who wishes entry and a list of features a person may bear that will not allow them access.

    The “challenge” Phrases:

    “W’o be ye?”

“Wut duh ye wunt in da city?”

    "Wut weapons duh ye 'ave?"

    Continuing the “challenge”:

If the figure requesting entry into the city has any of these on, Hoods, Masks and Helmets or have weapons they are to be denied entry, if they still wish for entry they are to remove such items and their weapons are to be taken and stored until they depart the city in which they will receive their weapons back.

    Patrol

Patrolling is vital to the city’s well being be it either tunnel clearances or patrolling the Kingdom’s borders. When a guard goes into the deep mines and disposes of creeps and critters who may harm the miners, or doing surface checks where the militant will do tasks similar to the tunnel clearance but on the surface. Or if they perform regular checks on the Kingdom’s borders to check for bandits or criminals. Any peculiar sightings are to be reported to the Legion Commander for further inspection.
