My application is as follows: Application Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: Dark_Surf -How old are you?: 13. However, I do not classify myself as a stereotypical thirteen year old: I tend to be much more maturer than my general peers. -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: United Kingdom, GMT + 0. -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Being a native speaker, I consider myself to have an excellent grip on the English language. -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a quiet, diligent builder who particularly like serious roleplay. I do like to involve myself in projects and the community, but only when I have the time (i.e: homework has been completed). I am intelligent and intellectual, but not arrogant. I have wanted to join a serious RP server like this for awhile, but huge volumes of schoolwork have so far prohibited me from doing so. Thankfully, the summer vacation is nearly here, and I will have lots of spare time on my hands. Your server seems like the perfect distraction! :lol: -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: A few hours, mostly on the weekends: probably around 5 to 15. As I've said, the summer holidays are nearly here and after school is out I'll be able to play for several hours each day. -How long have you played minecraft?: I started playing in September 2009: therefore, I have an excellent grasp of all the mechanics of gameplay and Minecraft community in general. -What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I used to participate in many roleplays, most of them mediæval, but some of them futuristic. Recently, I have not participated in them as much as I would have liked due to aforementioned schoolwork. However, I still remember how to perform them! In response to the question of how long I have been doing roleplays, I would say almost as soon as I joined the game, back in the early days of Creative. It was really baaaad roleplay then. xP -What do you expect this server will be like?: To put it simply, great fun. It looks like an intriguing concept and I would be delighted to be able to participate in what looks like such great fun! -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I used to play on various other servers, but most of them had very corrupt admins, so I left them pretty quickly. xS Some have been great to play on, but they have gradually disappeared as the volumes of new players attempting to enter the server or complain in-game have overwhelmed the admins. I've played on a few private ones, and they are great fun. In fact, I still occasionally play on one with some RL friends, but they're not particularly up for the serious RP I am especially interested in. This is when your server comes in: it appeals to the very core of my personality! -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Of course, I have read all rules and I judge them to be rather sensible. The law itself is a great piece of literature, which only improves the server's concept. But yes, I have read it all. -Name the 4 races on this server. There are humans, elves, orcs and dwarves. -How did you hear about us?: I was looking on the forum and your thread popped out at me, due to the eye-catching title. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? "Qaeus" without the quotation marks. In-Character: -Character Name: Qaeus -What is your Race?: Elf -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Qaeus -Biography: Brought up by an ancient, kind, firm Elven family, but character is a fierce intellectual, who in spite of his somewhat overwhelming intelligence, can fit in with his peers. However, some of the more envious of his clan used to hate him because he won anything which was thrown at him: he excelled in the poetry writing competitions of the scholars, the annual athletics, he mastered the friendly swordplay (known to only a few) called Jengi'As, &c.. He has had a good life, but has so far been restricted from truly experiencing the world. He is about to now. -Character Age: 21 -Character Appearance: 2.2 metres tall (7 feet approx.), with long locks of golden hair. -Character Personality: Bold, dignified, graceful. Somewhat argumentative, but generally good-natured. Not particularly tempted by evils. Not particularly arrogant. Fiercely intelligent and intellectual. -Your ambitions: To shine amongst the elves, particularly in the areas of acadæmia, and to rise up the political hierarchy. Oh, and to build a great library. -Can your character read or write?: By the time he was 1/2, my character had a vocabulary normally expected of a 13 year old. He had read all the laws and rules of the land, all the books in his family's house, all scripture from all the major religions of Aegis and every last manuscript in his local library by the age of 10. He wrote a thesis on the genetic variation between races at 13. At 17, he had several books written, in many different languages, on the mechanics of the Sun and the moon, the stars and constellations, the chemical makeup of the most commonest of blocks in the environment and the history of the architecture of the Elves. -Can your character mine?: He can quite well, as he has participated in Elven athletics much, but he tends to like other areas more. -Are you a capable builder? Very capable. -Can you wield a sword?: He tends to leave the fighting to others, but he has studied swordplay before, and can pick one up if he must. -Enjoy Farming?: Somewhat.
