  1. Amidst the clatter of metal from The Rhun's forge and the constant murmur of commerce, Dor'Nal Hammerfist, a burly dwarf with a penchant for ale, was shouldering an unusual task for such an unassuming figure. Even in his inebriated state, he was determined to pin up a vibrant piece of propaganda on the central notice board—a grand slab of polished stone that served as Urguan's gathering spot for news and gossip.

Clutching a rolled parchment that boldly promoted the strength and superiority of another's candidate, Dor'Nal squinted at the dramatic letters, trying to focus. With a hearty laugh and a slightly unsteady hand, he thudded the poster onto the board. The nail went in crooked, but the message—boasting of an idiot of the kingdom—was clear enough. Satisfied with his haphazard handiwork, Dor'Nal stumbled back, nodding approvingly at the poster. "That'll show 'em the might of our craft!" he exclaimed, before turning back towards the tavern to celebrate his small but significant contribution.

With each stroke of his pen, he poured his passion and dedication into every word, knowing that these letters held the potential to inspire and rally support from citizens across the realm. He knew he would lead, like his past teacher, a political campaign that would change The Grand Kingdom of Urguan forever.

As dawn approached and the first rays of sunlight peeked through the window, Dor’Nal Hammerfist sealed the envelopes, ready to embark on a journey to connect with the hearts and minds of his fellow Aevosians and dwarves.

Through various ways and past connections, this letter would reach everyone in Aevos directly or be pinned on a notice board.

    The Second Campaign

    The Movement

    4th of The Sun's Smile

    Lads and Lasses,

    Citizens of Aevos,

It has been more than one hundred and fifty years since The Movement led one of the harshest campaigns we’ve ever seen in The Grand Kingdom’s history, a campaign that led to changes and lasting effects in our great society still to this day. As Dreek III said, on this stone year, The Movement returns for the better of Urguan.

After telling everyone that it was an easy victory for Jorvin Starbreaker, they didn’t know about our will to fight for what’s right, they didn’t know about The Movement. That is right my people of the movement, we’re warriors for the light and the better of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

On this day, I officially announce that The Movement is running in the next election of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, and with the same clamor, we’ll lead a campaign that will shake this generation to its core and hopefully, change, and turn over, The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, forever.

We will expose the new forces within The Grand Kingdom that are planning to destroy it at its core. We will make The Grand Kindom of Urguan a better place for all, a place that everyone is welcomed. Our campaign will, once again, provoke generational and lasting changes tossing this generation up and down.

The Movement is officially calling for all its past, current and future members to join them in their fight for The Grand Kindom of Urguan. After the death of our great Charles Thy’ Bald, it is I, Dor’Nal Hammerfist who shall bring his ideas and convictions forward once again.

Dwarves and others, open your calendar for these specific dates :

    - On the day of Ograhad Study, we’ll have our first rally of this campaign.

    (MONDAY 3 PM EST)

    - On the day of Grimdugan’s Shroud, we will hear the citizens on what should be changed.

    (TUESDAY, 3 PM EST)

    - On Dungrimm’s Call, I will debate any other candidate that wishes to expose

    (WEDNESDAY, 6PM EST)

    - During Belka’s Embrace, we shall announce our final plans and hold our final rally before the election

    (THURSDAY, 3PM EST)

After consultation with political experts around the realm of Aevos, it has been recommended to me that I, Dor’Nal Hammerfist, go through a substance abuse recovery program and abstain from any substance for the next year or so which is an easy promise to hold for the better of Urguan. I will stop taking any substances from now on.

    For a better Urguan,

    Dor’Nal Hammerfist,

    The Movement.

  3. As the bustling streets of Urguan echo with the murmurs of its citizens, a figure clad in blue robes slips through the crowd, their presence subtle yet commanding. Zahir, the enigmatic loremaster, approaches the notice board, a place where news and proclamations are often displayed. With a flick of his wrist, he pins a parchment to the board, its contents bearing weighty news of recent events within the Grand Kingdom.

King Grelu Abstains From The Grand Kingdom of Urguan

    8th of The First Seed

It is with a heavy heart that I address you today, Zahir, for our beloved Grand Kingdom finds itself amidst turbulent times once again. During the recent King's Session, events unfolded that have shaken the very foundation of our Grand Kingdom.

Thromdrick was accused of treason, accused of undermining Heffrum and withholding crucial information vital to our national security, actions brought to light by none other than our esteemed Grand King, Grelu of Clan Irgard.

Furthermore, Ulfar's intentions were said to come under scrutiny, as he faces investigation for his desire to monopolize all seats of power on the council, with ambitions to establish the Starbreakers as a royal dynasty of Urguan.

In a turn of events that has left us all reeling, Grand King Grelu announced his decision to step down from his throne. Despite being urged to reconsider, he has chosen self-exile, citing a failure to address the deep divisions within our society by the common dwarves of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

It is a somber day indeed, as we bid farewell to a leader who has guided us with wisdom and strength. We must now navigate these uncertain waters with unity and resolve.

Let us stand together, for the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, the times shall be better.

    Signed,

    Zahir

    The Trial of Thromdrick Irongut

    9th of the Grand Harvest

Year 176 of the Second Age

    By : Zahir

Case : Thromdrick v. Tuzic Mossbourne

    Judge: Jorvin Starbreaker

Date: 9th of the Grand Harvest, Year 176 of the Second Age

    Parties Present:

    Accused: Thromdrick Irongut

    Council: Darid Irongrinder

    Accuser: Tuzic

    1. Tuzic's Testimony

Tuzic's testimony painted a vivid picture of his interactions with Lurdoic, conveying deep concern and regret as he witnessed his kin's descent into darkness.

Despite earnest attempts to guide Lurdoic towards the teachings of the Brathmordakin, Tuzic faced resistance and defiance, grappling with the harrowing truth of Lurdoic's intentions.

    2. Thromdrick's Defense

Thromdrick presented a confident and authoritative defense, adamantly refuting the accusations and challenging the integrity of Tuzic's claims.

He meticulously recounted events, invoking the principles of the Brathmordakin to emphasize his dedication to dwarven tradition and morality, casting doubt on the validity of the accusations against him.

As he is a respected member of dwarven society, it is  further complicating the narrative and casting doubt on the validity of the accusations against him.

    3. Witness Testimonies

Hana Starbreaker corroborated Tuzic's testimony, providing first hand observations of Lurdoic's descent into darkness.

However, Thromdrick remained steadfast in his defense, offering a rational explanation for his possession of the containment orb linked to Lurdoic's corruption. His calm demeanor and logical arguments cast doubt on the validity of the witness testimonies.

    4. Expert Opinion

Kazrin Starbreaker, an authority on voidal magic, offered valuable insights into the risks associated with Thromdrick's alleged teachings, guiding Jorvin towards a nuanced understanding of the case. King

    5. King Grelu's Testimony

As the revered ruler of the dwarven kingdom, King Grelu's words carry immense weight in the throne room. His testimony served as a sobering reminder of the stakes involved in the trial, highlighting the profound implications of Thromdrick's alleged actions. King Grelu's unwavering commitment to dwarven values and traditions underscored the gravity of the situation, leaving a lasting impression on all who bear witness to his words.

    6. The Decision

After deliberation, Jorvin rendered his judgment, ordering Thromdrick to pay a 500 mians fine to the Mossborn clan for gross negligence and conspiracy to subvert justice. He then posed a question to Thromdrick regarding the possibility of reversing the voidstalking ritual, to which Thromdrick responded negatively. Despite objections, Jorvin reiterated the necessity of ending voidistalking practices and urged Thromdrick to seek assistance for the reversal.

Bickering escalated as Darid Irongrinder raised concerns about the consequences of reversing the ritual. Jorvin defended his judgment as a mercy, aiming to prevent Thromdrick and others like him from becoming dangerous entities consumed by the void.

Thazzaer Grandaxe challenged the validity of the sentence, citing the need for adherence to the letter of the law. However, Jorvin asserted his authority to issue sentences as he deemed necessary, in consultation with the king.

Despite the objections, Jorvin reiterated the necessity of ending voidistalking practices and urged Thromdrick to seek assistance from fellow mages for the reversal. Thromdrick defiantly chose exile, condemning the kingdom's regulation of voidistalking.

Further bickering ensued, but nothing of that was scribed as the judgement was passed.

A full copy of the court’s transcript is available for purchase to the High Reckoners and the Grand Kingdom, a hefty fee will be charged to the parties.

    Precisely this

In a similar vein to past discussions, its the equivalent of babying certain player actions instead of just letting it all RP out. Same with CRP lock, if you walk into a large city and shank someone, don't be whining and crying about the 50 man rally that's jumping you for doing some so incredulously, mind numbingly stupid.

Its like instead of promoting clever player action and RP you set up false barriers to people please.

The combat lock rule only applying outside of cities would be a great addition or for it to be 30-60 minutes of time inside cities. It fucks up the stories in cities a little bit.

Well on other hand, it's easy to accept that an interaction is what 1-2 mins max IRL so it would be normal to lock it at the same time since, someone getting robbed in a dark city corner, doesn't bring out 15 other people right away.

There's a middleground we can find I would say.

    170 of the second age

To the various members of the Movement and dwarves of all backgrounds, and even those “races”  from beyond our borders,

In the rich tapestry of our history, our organization has stood as a beacon, a force that has reshaped the destiny of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan. We've triumphed over the shadows of the old guard and their puppets, we’ve taken back control from those losers who wanted to choke the life out of our grand kingdom !

We slashed those crazy taxes from Agnar's reign. We put more gold back in your pockets, where it belongs, not in some forgotten vault. We’re a grand organization without any bounds !

We’ve taken back Da Kirka Dverga under government control, under Alaric's terrible, terrible leadership, it was going down the drain. But not on our watch, we brought it back from the dead, like Azdromoth rising from the ashes.

And don't let anyone tell you otherwise – we are the champions of the common dwarves! We're the glue holding dwarven society together, always striving for the best for our Grand Kingdom, and we're going to keep doing that in the days to come. By using all the means necessary, we will make this Grand Kingdom better.

I extend my invitation to each and every one of you, irrespective of your origins. Whether you hail from the deep caverns of Urguan or the distant lands beyond, your voice matters in the next dwarven election.

Join us in shaping the future of our beloved kingdom by casting your vote in the dwarven election for Grelu Irgard. Regardless of your race, seize the opportunity now !

Dispatch your aviary with your vote to Norli Starbreaker, and let your choice resonate through the stones of Urguan. Together, we will forge a future that honors our shared heritage and strengthens the foundation of Grelu Irgard as one of the greatest dwarves to have ever joined our ranks.

    The Movement v. The State

163 of the Second Age, 15th of The Grand Harvest

First, I would like to personally thank Korgi Jewelbeard, what an amazing legal representative for The Movement, the lad’s ready to take it all, from insults to punches. Korgi you are an amazing dwarf, thank you for your work, thank you.

Our legal campaign against the High Prophet was a success, there’s no worrying about the result. Let me explain to you how these things work; you put random charges together and you try to make them stick, that’s what Korgi taught me, he’s the best after all. You can only thank us for funding the city rebuild, we will wait for your letters in our mailbox.

The events that transpired during the court case will undoubtedly echo throughout the annals of our history. It was not merely an affront to the rights of the citizens of Urguan but a blatant violation of justice systems across the vast realm of Aevos

An incident unfolded as Sigrun purported to disbar my lawyer. Sigrun, I might not be aware, you, allegedly, lack proper education. Allow me to clarify: in Urguan, there exists no bar system. Every dwed is free to represent another in the court of law. Your dismissal, allegedly, holds no weight.

Then, the prospective king, Sigrun Stonehammer, chose to spurn the very principles of justice. His decision to unleash his Stonehammer thugs upon my esteemed legal representative, Korgi Jewelbeard, speaks of a dark chapter. They, with brutish force, sought to silence him and almost killed him for echoing my own writings—a grave act that will be etched into the collective memory of all dwarves. By extension, I consider Sigrun's actions a personal affront.

Sigrun Stonehammer, I implore you to consider that, allegedly, we shall reclaim our kingdom through positive force, ushering it back to the times of Anthos—one of the most peaceful eras for dwarves. Our aim is to restore stability among our ranks. A glance through the historical records reveals a promising era to emulate.

After his rest, Korgi and I will be in consultation to draft a grudge to be settled between The Movement and Sigrun Stonehammer. Had I accepted an honor duel against Sigrun Stonehammer, he would have marveled at my arm, which, I believe, is the fastest in Aevos, as proven in my personal victory over Charles "The Bald," one of the greatest Urguani heroes the dwarves have ever seen as he single handedly took down the Kingdom of Kaz’Ulrah by killing Dreek Ireheart II.

Sigrun, believe me, you will, in minas, dearly pay for your crimes and, could be, positively affected by The Movement’s efforts to bring a better Urguan and that, we can only be sorry for you.

    This marks only the beginning,

    The Movement

    Dor’Nal Hammerfist v. Alaric Grimgold

    3rd of Sun’s Smile

Dear High Courts of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan,

I am writing to bring to the attention of the High Courts a series of grave transgressions committed by Mr. Alaric Grimgold, leader of Da Kirkja Dverga and the clan Grimgold, against my character and, more importantly, against the State of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. The incident occurred in the presence of a group of dwarves and involves serious allegations of defamation, harassment, treason, sedition, and subversion of justice.

On the 12th of The Grand Harvest, in the presence of many witnesses, I casually mentioned to another dwarf that I would not require the assistance of Mr. Alaric Grimgold in the coming weeks. Regrettably, Mr. Grimgold overheard this innocuous conversation and proceeded to launch into a defamatory rant, falsely accusing me of being a traitor and a thief.

Crucially, I want to emphasize that I have not been officially convicted of any crimes, and Mr. Grimgold failed to provide any evidence or specifics regarding the alleged theft. Furthermore, he fabricated a falsehood by claiming that I showed stolen items to him, an event that has never transpired. If I had stolen from him, it would make sense that Mr.Grimgold would have created a court case against me at the time which he did not. Mr. Grimgold is also defying court orders that he personally accepted back in the two court cases he was involved in 15 years ago, an investigation on our end could lead to more charges being raised against his person.

Mr. Grimgold's unfounded accusations did not end there. When confronted, he refused to apologize and persisted in defaming my character. Subsequently, when offered the opportunity to uphold my honor through an honor duel, he callously declined. Moreover, he openly declared his intention to disregard any legal proceedings in the High Courts, demonstrating a blatant disrespect for the institutions that form the foundation of The Grand Kingdom.

Given that these actions occurred in front of a group of dwarves, publicly, rather than privately, it can be construed that Mr. Grimgold, as the leader of Da Kirkja Dverga and the clan Grimgold, publicly engaged in seditious behavior against the High Courts and showed a complete disregard for the laws that constitute the Grand Kingdom. This, in itself, amounts to treason and subversion of justice against the State of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

Furthermore, it has come to my attention that Mr. Grimgold has engaged in the act of harassment publicly on multiple occasions, even preceding our initial acquaintance. Since my arrival, he has consistently led a campaign of harassment against my person, creating an environment that is detrimental to my well-being.

It is crucial to note that Mr. Grimgold, in his capacity as a clan leader and the leader of the clergy, occupies a prominent and influential role within the Grand Kingdom. As a public figure, he symbolically represents the values and principles of the Grand Kingdom itself. Consequently, his actions carry weight and can have far-reaching consequences for the reputation and stability of the Grand Kingdom.

I hereby request a formal hearing in front of the High Courts to address the serious allegations against Mr. Alaric Grimgold. I believe that a fair and impartial examination of this matter is essential for upholding the principles of justice and integrity within our grand kingdom.

As we stand today, we are accusing Mr. Alaric Grimgold of the following crimes:

Section V. Noted Crimes Against Persons

    - 1. Harassment

    - 7. Slander

Section VII. Noted Crimes Against The State

    - 1.Treason

    - 2.Sedition

    - 3.Subversion of Justice

Called to stand during the trial:

    - Bostone Grimgold

    - Baldur Stonehammer

    - Sigrun Stonehammer

    - Norli Starbreaker

    - And any other witness present that we may ask to be present

I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and trust that the High Courts will ensure a just resolution in accordance with the laws of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

If you wish to contact me, please refer to my legal team Darek Irongrider and his associates moving forward.

    Sincerely,

    Darek Irongrinder

Arch-Runelord of the citadel-commune of Arcadia and Az’Adar. Lord-Comrad in arms of the dwarven people’s holdfast of Khron’Hundmar. General secretary of the dwarven worker’s party, former child, veteran of the great patriotic war and master of tungdil’s balance’.

A LETTER TO ALL OF KIN

Ladies and gentlemen, dwarves and kin,

We address you today to discuss the concerning state of our great dwarf kingdom.

Our once proud kingdom is not slowly transforming into a forest, the kind with ale-loving dwarves and whimsical smoking trees, but rather a landscape marred by the undesirable influence of misguided leadership.

The current king has taken, a few years ago, the drastic step of removing elder clans from his council, essentially usurping the identity of our kingdom from the mountain dwarves.

It is high time we consider taking back our kingdom, either through force or political means.

We must remove detrimental components and leaders to start afresh, but we must not repeat the mistakes we have made when choosing candidates for kingship.

We cannot afford to have individuals like Heffrum embedded within our politics, nor should we heed the counsel of forest dwarves dictating our actions.

Our kingdom is plagued with significant issues, and it's time to acknowledge the gravity of the situation:

    1. The leadership of the clergy has been entrusted to someone who merely collects titles, contributes little, and consistently raises multiple issues privately without offering solutions, he should have been, with his clan, kicked out of the kingdom. The clergy is a crucial component of our kingdom, and its inactivity reflects poorly on the mountain dwarves.

    2. We made the mistake of accepting a group of dwarves whose values do not align with our culture. Now we are paying the price, witnessing the erosion of our own cultural identity, even has multiple people warned you.

    3. Demoting and removing elder clans from the council is a disgrace to Urguani customs and a symptom of poor leadership. We cannot allow such actions to persist.

    4. Some clan leaders believed they could dominate the mountain, but any movement against others has proven futile. Unity is essential, and divisive actions only lead to failure. The Ireheart and Frostbeard rise was and was managed by members outside of the community because those within were too blind.

    5. Our keep remains unrepaired, despite promises of major replacement projects. If any progress is made, it is inevitably delayed by another 3-4 stone months.

    6. Individuals who have never led our kingdom are still influencing leadership councils, guiding us down a destructive path.

I acknowledge that my words may seem inconsequential at this moment, as they always have been, but they always have been somewhat true.

As I sit in my humble chair and occasionally visit the mountain, even I, with a heavy heart, witness the decline of our kingdom when The Movement warned you.

The lack of hope we feel reflects a sentiment shared by many – Urguan, it seems, is losing its appeal.

We're unsure about what might reignite our passion, and it seems like it may never be rekindled.

    The Movement

We must consider that, in the context of our roleplay timeline, years equate to mere weeks. Therefore, if an individual has held a position for an extended period, particularly four years or more, without demonstrating significant contributions, it is prudent to reevaluate their role and encourage a more active engagement. It is imperative that we take steps to enhance the quality of our roleplay by removing individuals who are not actively contributing to the community.

Why are we still pushing for runesmithing approval? I've noticed 15 different posters on this topic, but it seems like the Urguani community isn't really "collaborating" on it. There's collaboration, then there's creating a group with people that agrees with your ideas, both are different. Let's be honest, claiming "I've tried" doesn't cut it, especially after hitting 22 denials. Every time someone hits the "Submit topic" button, it feels like they believe they're better than the whole Urguan community and have not tried to their fully extent.

Achieving runesmithing approval demands introspection and genuine self-discovery. Solo-posting, creating groups, as a solution, fails to address the underlying issues. Instead, it is essential that we foster a sense of community, encourage collaboration, and collectively work towards common goals.

Only through a shared commitment to the betterment of Urguan can we hope to see meaningful advancements, including the approval of initiatives like runesmithing.

    XOXOXO

"This whole war was predicated on the fact that dwarves were punished within Urguan without proper trial. Prove to me that Bakir had a full and righteous trial and I will consider your last point relevant. Additionally, it is not the job of the Lord Justiciar to determine the soundness of mind for one at trial, nor is it written in the codex of laws that one who is not of sound mind should not be allowed to be brought to trial. Additionally, several citizens of Urguan were present at the trial. Indeed, I was not the one to take the hands of the Norlandic King. This honor I left to those clans wronged by his actions. Even so, if I had conducted the trial without citizens to witness it, this would not be against the laws either. But as a gesture of goodwill I conduct all my trials publicly and loudly. If you seek to claim that I have desecrated the laws of Urguan please cite any such specific laws and/or procedures I have broken in accordance to the Articles of the Grand Kingdom Urguan."

Onarion would ignore half of the badly formatted reply and simply reply "Exactly what a criminal would say" while giggling endlessly.

    The Desecration of Urguan’s laws
    -
    The trial of King Balon

All living creatures should take note that King Balon was pressured by the dwarves of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan to undertake a trial without representation.

A world leader should be allowed a trial with representation, Thromdrick Irongut also failed to consider multiple conditions, listed as follow :

    • After multiple hours of being captured, King Balon was under no mental capacity to decide for himself after suffering major blood loss during a battle.

    • No citizens of the dwarves were also allowed to the trial, meaning that the information given to you by the courts could be false.

    • Citizens of Urguan were allowed a fair trial in Norland.

Thromdrick Irongut expedited the trial without even considering the mental state of the accused, this is a grave offense to Urguan law’s but also Yemekar’s balance because the accused is a world leader.

Every living creature should take note of the act that the dwarves within Urguan have committed, especially those of Clan Frostbeard and Clan Ireheart.

When your leader eventually gets captured, his trial could be expedited without proper representation.

“We are smarter than all of them" - Onar Ireheart

    To my clansmen,

For years, I've yearned to reunite with my fellow Irehearts, but the state of our clan fills me with deep concern. Once renowned and feared, we have become a mere nuisance in the eyes of the world. Our descent into wickedness has brought about countless troubles, repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

The root of this issue lies within our inept leadership, who stubbornly cling to outdated notions that hold no relevance in today's world. Our so-called "recruitment" efforts have only led to disappointment, as our recruits quickly abandon us due to our sheer incompetence.

The military leaders we implore the king to appoint are nothing more than figureheads, accomplishing nothing of substance. They refuse to take charge, refusing to organize crucial events or actively seek new members. Instead, they idle away, merely adding their lofty titles to their signatures, waiting for the next war to come.

Axel Ireheart, a lingering relic of the archaic regime, represents the epitome of inaction and intellectual pretense. He shamelessly clings to his titles, maneuvering to amass whatever paltry remnants of power he can for our clan.

However, his feeble attempts are nothing more than foolish endeavors. Why do I deem him an idiot? It's a simple observation rooted in the fact that the inhabitants of Urguan are far from naive; they keenly perceive our transparent schemes unfolding from miles away.

The time has come for our clan to undergo a drastic transformation. I've always been captivated by the potential of our clan, envisioning what great feats we could achieve if we were more disciplined and committed.

Hence, I am now searching within the ranks of our current clan for individuals who share my desire to join The Direheart Clan, embarking on a new and daring adventure. We shall remain rooted in our heritage but adopt a more resolute and earnest approach.

Rather than idly awaiting wars, we shall dedicate ourselves to training the members of The Grand Kingdom through rigorous drills. We shall appoint true military leaders who possess the capability to organize impactful events, individuals who will not squander their titles. Together, we will forge a new and improved Ireheart clan that will shine brightly throughout history, eradicating the stain of our past.

    With utmost urgency and determination,

    SIGNED,

    Onarion Ireheart,

    Son of Onar Ireheart.
