((It shouldn't matter how long somebody's on the server, as long as they contribute to general roleplay. Different pirate factions can lead to a pirate area with different crews getting into bar fights and such, and competition for sea lanes. I've found that even the newest of players can be good at roleplay and that even the oldest make newbie mistakes. If he can garner support for the group, there's no reason to put it down.))
Serelia pokes at a piece of rubble in Lindale, then sends off a bird to somewhere.
((I'm not insulting his roleplay capabilities; I've never roleplayed with him and thus cannot judge him. However there are already quite a few pirate factions and he does not seem to have put much thought into his post. His post was very quickly hashed out and lacks important detail. And if he can garner support, great for him, but both his last post for the same guild and this post have lacked detail and care and failed to garner any form of support. I am not putting him down, I am pointing out that it might not be a good idea for him to start a guild without enough thought. For example, he could've just edited his previous post which had plenty of applicants, but instead made a brand new post and didn't even think of a name for this new pirate guild.))

I'm not new...
((How long have you been here? The lack of detail put into the guild seems to suggest you don't know how guild pages work and how thorough they are, so it's safe to assume you're pretty new.))

((Perhaps it would be wise to merge with another pirate guild rather than create another one. You seem new to the server and sometimes it's better to get a feel for the server before creating a group.))

I would rather see a large player coalition of protagonists versus "special-snowflake" antagonists. Many people say "player run" and others say "administration run" (granted the administration run is a small minority) regarding both antagonists and protagonists leadership hierarchies. A proper balance should be established of the two; there should be a GM dedicated to the protagonist and a GM dedicated to the antagonist (or possibly two GM's for each, the specifics don't matter at this point). The actual leadership positions should fall into the hands of the players themselves, however there should be a direct protagonist GM adviser that can plan events and such with the Administrative team and the antagonist GM adviser.
Initially the groups should be formed by GM's, but the reigns should be handed to players eventually. For example, say we have a corrupt mage state attempting to conquer the common folk. The opposing protagonists could be a warrior based group without special powers that have a longstanding hatred for this mage state. This is merely an example, but what I'm trying to say is that there needs to be a very STRONG difference between both the antagonists and protagonists, which the last few have failed to do as there hasn't been a protagonist since Aegis. The last antagonist was up against a chaotic-neutral population of Anthos, whereas the arguably more successful (as far as entertainment) antagonist of Aegis (the Undead) directly contrasted with the ideal Ascended, whom were essentially beings selected by a god (Aengul technically).
To summarize; there should DEFINITELY be a protagonist that directly conflicts with the antagonist and it should be run by players (though with dedication/assistance from the administrative team). There also needs to be distinct differences in views of both the antagonist and the protagonist so people can pick sides and effectively become invested in whichever side they choose.

A wood elf speaks directly to the wealthy man.
"I may be interested in farming. What would be the pay and benefits?" he asks aloud.

I'm honestly not very interested by this. But if any of my staff are willing to come to me and say "I'll pull all the stops and help these guys, and here's why;"
Then I will hold them to it. But personally I dont feel this feasible/interesting for a myriad of reasons.
It's already been accepted lore. This is just the event introducing them. And while I respect your opinion, maybe don't always share opinions like that, as to be honest, somewhat hurts feelings when someone has worked really hard on a project that is well liked by others just to hear, "I don't find this feasible/interesting. . ."

Could I please get a decision on this from the ET or some sort of notification as to what's going on? It's been a bit longer than three weeks. . .

An unknown man wanders into the meeting. He does not wear a kilt, but only a white button-down shirt and black trousers. A large brass buckle hangs onto his pants, and his relatively young face seems to shine under his unkempt, blond hair. No one seems to notice him when he first walks in the door, but it's evident he is not Adunian in any way, shape, or form.
As he speaks, it becomes further clear that he is not an Adunian; he is an outsider. Whether you choose to trust him, is up to you, but is words sound genuine, and a certain gravity hangs on his every word.
"My friends! I speak not on behalf of myself, or for Oren, or for the Dwarves, or for anyone other than you! The Adunians are a proud people, and rightfully so. Any simple man of Oren knows that an Adunian bears the strength of ten knights, and lives twice as old. However, in this case, myself, a simple man, might have the solution for you all gathered here today. You are lively and bold, and certainly passionate. You have all the characteristics of a strong people except population density! In order for a people to thrive, they must actually SEE other people like them, and unfortunately, the Adunians are too far spread and in-between. And so I bring a proposal to you all here today.
I am not misleading you, and I am not on a quest for power. I feel that this deal would incorporate the best interests of everyone. I live in the Emerald Isles off the coast of the Cloud Temple shores. On one of those islands I possess a fort, Fort Rin. I am in need of soldiers to fight with me and for me, a noble people whom I can trust and rely on. I won't lie to you, but if you join me, your allegiance will be based with Oren. Within the walls of Rin, you can recreate your people and culture. You will be densely packed and able to reorganize yourselves, to reproduce, to live life to the fullest, and lead a meaningful life! I offer salvation, but I will need your loyalty and trust. I am a stranger to you all, but I seek what's best for both of us: a symbiotic relationship. You fight for me, and I will provide you with a means to stick together, and a faithful leader who will strive for the best. While I am not Adunian in blood, I am in spirit. Thank you for listening."
((In other words, without my character's bias in the middle, the issue you guys are facing isn't an inactive playerbase, it's a lack of density. The Adunians are spread too far out and inbetween without much contact with one another. If you guys would all just reside together, you could slowly expand to reach your former glory. My character's speech above is a method in which that provides us all with RP and a means to regrow the Adunian population. But regardless of whether you guys RPly decide to join me, just focus together in one area and make your RP closer together. Advertise your position to the outside world, but don't leave that position; RP there. Also, apologies for any typos, I wrote this fairly quickly.))

*Posters are scattered across the streets of Abresi, the Conclave, and the Cloud Refuge, all written with the same words.*
"Hail, denizens of Anthos!
I have a need for builders of all kinds! Note that, what I propose, requires a long term employment and will have multiple orders/commissions. I need someone who is an expert at ship building/renovating and I need someone who can touch up a certain fort that is not to be named until I have acquired the identity of he or she that would work for me. I am willing to pay 1,000 minas for each builder/shipwright, though I need quick replies and diligent work. The first 300 minas will be paid upfront for their work, and the other 700 minas will be paid once I am satisfied with the work and have no further need of the builders. Extra minas may be provided if I am especially pleased and further work given if wanted.
I hope to hear from you soon!
- Redbain Adelban II"
((Please post a picture of previous works; if you do not, I may not extend the offer to you as I need to know how skilled you are. Please leave your MC name down below too!))

*Unable to locate the man, Redbain Adelban II drops a note very near to the ones scattered around the Cloud Refuge*
"I have a special offer for you, if you would meet with me. Please, contact me if at all possible. I've enclosed a bit of my clothing for a bird to use to track me. I hope you will consider meeting with me;

Redbain strokes his chin, interested at the arrival of the White Roses. Having no prior interactions with them, and no relations to anyone within the White Roses, he merely smiles, as their return is a good omen for Oren.
((HALLELUJIAH! TOOK Y'ALL LONG ENOUGH!

Right, looks like a fun event tbh and id be glad to help.
But... You keep saying "battle", does this mean you want pvp between the two groups or RP?
It will begin with RP between Yellow Eyes and all the allies of the Seeker and the Stranger above ground. From there, Yellow Eyes will retreat back into the cave while his soldiers spew up. It will be everyone vs. the event team I suppose.

Disclaimer: Note that this event is only for implementation’s sake; the lore for the Arscimali was accepted long ago and was generally well accepted by the community. The event planners and main characters would like to discuss details over Skype and would appreciate if you could add us on Skype where we’d have a specific group chat.

Event Type/Info:
Introduction of the Arscimali; combat oriented
Event Date:
To be determined based on when it would be most effective.
Factions/Nations effected by the event:
Introduction of a new being/creature (everyone is affected). Anyone willing to fight will be brought into the battle against the crazed Arscimali.
Event Location:
To be determined.
Summary:
Link to Lore for more information: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/93901-lore-magic-complete-the-arscimali/?hl=arscimali
The Arscimali have been brought together by their leader Yellow Eyes. They will charge into the unknown land of Anthos seeking to take it over. Yellow eyes has taken it into his own hands to work to destroy those who lay above, and take the world for his own. A great battle will ensue as the Stranger and the Seeker will first work to recruit friends from other races. A great battle will ensue; though not as the Stranger and the Seeker previously thought. Enemies turn into friends regarding the once combating Stranger and Seeker. The Arscimali army lead by Yellow eyes will charge out of a hole in the ground. They will start to violently attack those around them, such as the other races of Humans, Dwarves, Orcs and Elves. The battle will ensue and the Arscimali army lead by Yellow Eyes will be defeated. Hiding in the tunnels, Yellow Eyes will reveal himself to the Stranger and Seeker alone and be destroyed by them. The Arscimali will then join together and be introduced into the world of Anthos.
Concept Images/Screenshots
The Stranger (Jtheo2016's Character)
Other Information:
Yellow eyes, the Seeker and the Stranger will all be played by those listed in the planners of the event. Preceding the event, the Seeker and Stranger will appear in certain parts of Anthos, attempting to recruit aid to their own side.
Do you need the Event Team's assistance?:
Yes, we will need them to be able to give off local broadcasts, build the initial hole and help us create a “dungeon” of sorts, as well as play the Arscimali in the battle. The main roles of Seeker (Gwonam_Blaze), Stranger (Jtheo2016), and Yellow Eyes (Beast720) will be kept to their respective players. Each of the main roles will be kept on a script that is to remain secretive until the end of the battle.
If so, do you require actors and/or builders?:
We require actors and potentially builders; we would like to help build/direct building ourselves if at all possible. Also, I'd like to request that we incorporate what was done with the original iron mines (walk into entrance, teleports you to different, larger location). This would make things easier to build and prevent meta-gaming.

Posters are hung all around Anthos; the Sanctuary, Abresi, and other such locations. They all read the same thing.
"Greetings, citizens of Anthos! I shan't discriminate by race, nor have I need to! I need to purchase oak wood in large quantities from the citizens of Anthos! I will pay for each stack, simply negotiate with me. I appreciate quick replies! Many thanks,
- Redbain Adelban II, a neutral man amongst all the chaos."

So I tried working through this with Llir last night but I had to log off due to the time. My account for some reason doesn't receive benefits from voting. I believe Llir came to the conclusion that it's something wrong my guy in game, not between the websites and LoTC, as he tried to add votes artificially but my account did not register them.
