I guess no one seems to understand why this was a good change.

 

I don't think you understand why this is a **** idea.

It used to be so damn easy to figure something out if you needed help.  You post a status update and got an answer in a matter of minutes.  You needed a skin edited quickly?   Make a simple status update that doesn't cloud the recent posts.  Now if you want to the simplest question answered and don't have any GMs on skype or anything, and don't even give me the direct message them ****,  you have to make a topic.

We have the FMs for a reason, a shitty status directly attacking someone?  Delete it and warn them.  If you can't simply do that as an FM then there is no point to have FMs and just have the GMs moderating the forums as well.  Now when an extremely horrid idea like this comes around we have lots of toxic one liners.  I think this topic should be a scene of things to come should this not be reversed.

Edit:  I like Throdo's idea.  Spread Gold nuggest amongst the soldiers as almost 'pay', I'd say distribute half to the winning side of the war.  It already is pretty costly to lose an entire armies set of armor with crafting times now.

Okay... so your saying it is to better improve the RP of mages, yes? I don't see that. What I see is turning LotC into an ever growing PVP server. I mean come on, with PvP default and this magic plugin you are basically killing off RP magic, because who wants to RP with a mage when the fight is now even with the added magic plugin? Right?! By adding this plugin and PVP default, you (the staff and those responsible for this) have given the initiative to PVP, I thought this was suppose to be an RP server, which puts RP ahead of everything else. Now, it's turning into a PVP server, your basically throwing us people who actually came here for RP into a pit of pixel- hungry Oreners who does nothing but PVP and ruin those who actually came here to RP! What do I think should happen? Well for starters, LotC's staff should live up to their word of this being an RP server and make it RP default, that way the REAL mages get some fun, rather than some ****er  who wants nothing to do with RP other than being a ****.

 

Sorry for this rant, but this whole PVP default thing with this plugin just gets me mad, I mean the plugin itself is brilliant (well done Telanir) it's the way the plugin is being introduced with PVP default that really gets me raging.

A new sun breaks over the mountains and shines down upon the capital of the Empire.  Slowly the town begins to wake, roosters yelling outside the walls, the sounds of metal on stone as soldiers switch shifts on the walls.  As more and more people begin to leave their houses and begin their days they notice posters pinned to many walls inside of the city.

10 men dressed in decorative uniforms march down the streets of Petrus carrying a very large wooden cask on their shoulders.  The faces of the soldiers show no expression, they only look forward towards their destination.  Behind the men there are two lines of imperial soldiers who march in rhythm, the only sound, in the usually busy streets of Petrus, is the consistent step of imperial boots.

At the back of the marching lines is Decurion Rowan Hightower of Kaldonia, wearing a crisp and clean uniform he follows the men all the way outside to the spot of the burial.  Rowan stands at the edge of a pre dug hole, hands behind his back in a typical fashion.  His eyes weary as one of his best soldiers bodies descend into the abyss that is the earth.  His hands clenching as the Decanus' gets swallowed alive by the dirt being shovel onto it.

The sound of the priest saying a farewell sermon is but a distant voice, Rowan pays no attention to it.   Once all is over the crossbow men pick up their Arbalests, firing into the forests.  With the conclusion of the funeral most leave, few stragglers stay behind to bid farewell to the once great soldier.  When it is his turn Rowan moves up to the freshly churned grave, placing the medal of Peters Diligence on the top of it.  He smiles slighty before patting the top of the grave to signify a final goodbye, walking off to continue to defend the city from the terrors that plague it.

I'm not advertising.  I'm pointing out both you and Cyndikate don't try and hide the fact you are declining this because you don't want to lose and how in the previous system, this wouldn't be a problem.

This is 100% why the warclaim system is broken.  You flaunt your cock to another person who happens to be more powerful and then hide behind OOC barriers and refuse any and all attempts to warclaim you.

Can this not be a clear example we need to bring back the warclaim team?

I don't know about anyone else, but I am bloody sick of how a lot of people (mostly prominent in the Snow Elven players) cannot take criticism or role play, without calling it "Harassment" or "Bullying". Acting as if what they get is so much worse than what other cultures, and races get from people. 

 

A lot of the crap you get is because of how you started out, you have a terrible leader in character and had members who treated everyone worse than they'd treat a dictator. Because of this, it has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths (This being all in /role play/). There was no hatred for you OOCly until you started taking it into an OOC level. You yourselves started making us have a distaste for you with the amount of stupidly passive aggressive comments made in threads that make no sense for you to  be a part of in the first place!

 

You could try and say that the "hate" started when the original lore post was made, but you'd be terribly incorrect considering that the comments made were generally saying "We don't need another race, this is dumb." which to be perfectly honest, we don't need another race considering how some of our races lack active members!

 

Stop pulling the victim card, seriously it's plain dumb. We have a right to dislike the snow elves for many reason, and to be honest, you don't get nearly as much hate as others but you just so happen to be vocally active which makes it more prominent because (Like I said at the start) when ever /anything/ negative happens against you, you call "Bullying" or "Harassment". 

 

Leave the snow elves behind, rejoin the nations you left and regrow your balls.
