( Just a heads up - I tried to post on the Minecraft thread for LoTC and I can't seem to find it anywhere on the thread. I didn't post it again in case it was lag with the forum or something and I spam the thread with two and didn't want to write a note on the thread explaining either for the same reason. Sorry about this but there's nothing I can do and I don't want to start off on a bad note by spamming the thread! )
Out-Of-Character:
-Minecraft Account Name: Wignut
-How old are you?: 18
-Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT+0 / UK
-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, English is my mother tongue and I also have good grammar.
-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm a student from Scotland who enjoys videogames in his free time and of course roleplaying. I have been roleplaying for yonks and thoroughly enjoy it, I feel I would only bring positive things to the server with my RP knowledge and style, combined with my general kind manner.
-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: At least over 10 hours, probably closer to 20.
-How long have you played minecraft?: I have been playing Minecraft for roughly 9 or 10 months.
-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: As far as I am concerned, I know everything about the base of roleplaying, of couse different RP themes change a few things but I've been RPing since 2005 in a ton of different themes so I know how to do it.
-What do you expect this server will be like?: From what I've seen so far - a well laid out thread and also the LoC website looking very well done too - I can only expect positive things from this community, boosted by the fact I'm a massive LOTR fan!
-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on a handful of other RP servers, I have found most just stick RP in the title to get a few more people to join and the server consists of next to no RP. There are a few other reasons, like servers failing to put a few rules to keep the atmosphere tight as for me it ruins RP completely, for example, when I'm walking through a dense forest with my bow and suddenly I notice a flying house which belongs to someone using a Luigi skin. Not too immersive, as you can imagine, heh.
-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes to the rules, and yes also to the lore which I rather enjoyed reading even though it was quite short.
-Name the 4 races on this server. Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Orcs.
-How did you hear about us?: Youtube video.
-Did you vote?: Yes.
-What was your favourite Law?: The law about keeping IC, as on most other servers you find people tend to be lazy with their RP and there is a huge amount of OOC.
-What was your least favourite Law?: The laws concerning destruction, as although I do agree with them in some aspects I am not too fond of any rules which restrict RP, but in the case of something like someone being able to mine down a castle I of course think it should exist. Whereas something like burning down a small wooden house (with IC reason) should be allowed, again given that it is IC. Of course, mindless destruction with no real reason (griefing or whatever you prefer) should be punished without doubt.
-What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? Wignut
In-Character
-Character Name: Cullock (Male)
-What is your Race?: Human
-Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Wignut
-Biography: Cullock was raised in a small, poor village outwith Oren by his father and mother - Dardie and Maureen - who made a living from a small farm they used to run. It was here he developed his hard working motive and passion for nature. As soon as Cullock could walk he would go out on the family farm to explore and discover new exciting creatures every day, from worms to cows. As soon as Cullock was old enough, his father had him out on the farm working, at the same time educating him as they worked alongside each other. After they finished each day his father would read to him, telling him all of the folklore of Aegis and always finishing with a poem which he performed alongside his guitar which he taught Cullock to play. Shortly before turning 13, Cullock's mother fell extremely ill and was bedsick from that moment forth. In the poor village there was poor hygeine or sanity and they were unable to find medical help for her as her health slowly deteriorated over the years until on the day of Cullock's 15th birthday she passed away. Cullock and his father continued the farm after her death, Cullock's father would always put on a brave face whenever his mother came into conversation after her death, but Cullock knew his father never got over her passing.
One day, whilst returning from Oren after a successful day of trading the goods produced on the farm, his father's caravan was raided by bandits and his father was slain. Normally, Cullock would be eager to go with his father so he could visit Oren - he was always excited by the structures and scenery compared to his small village - however, Cullock had to stay back at the village as one of the cows was giving birth. Cullock was 15 at the time, and after his father's death he had to sell the farm and move into a family member's house in a neighbouring village. After spending many unhappy years working behind a bar for very little money in the village - on his 20th birthday - Cullock had saved up enough money to move into Oren, which he did. His story continues in Oren..
