I am usually able to play at least 10 hours a week, of course studies will come first. I'm a big fan of the roll playing genres, very interested to see how the incorporation of building in minecraft will effect the formation of clans and nations! -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I can offer up at least 10 hours a week conservatively, certainly be able to do more. -How long have you played minecraft?: I have been playing Minecraft for 6+ months. -What do you know about roleplaying?: I remember playing Runescape back in the day, I'm a big fan of the Assassin's Creed series as well as the Elder Scrolls. I understand roleplaying to be an immersion into an artificial world, either in real life or other social mediums, where you take on another role and perform on the "stage" which could either be the entire world or just a designated zone. -What do you expect this server will be like?: A Minecraft role playing server where clan play is encouraged. There are rules and events, staying in character is crucial whether your an elf or a dwarf. There are multiple custom plugins which allow for more diverse and in depth submersion. With the growing size and serious emphasis on role playing, I expect an enjoyable experience where contribution is encouraged. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have not played on any other servers other than private ones. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Anarchy is not a viable venue of lasting entertainment. Rules are required to preserve the environment. I have read the world rules, and understand them. -Name the 4 races on this server: Elves, Orcs, Humans, Dwarves with other sub races. -How did you hear about us?: Through Potatorgy's youtube account, then a quick search for more gameplay and watching "Candle" 's series as he and Rezzu (sp?) and other Mongoose Country people develop their nation. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Gilboa In-Character: -Character Name: Gilboa -What is your Race?: Human and Northerner! -Biography: A quiet man who doesn't say much, whose eyes pierce your own, he prefers his actions to speak for him. He will talk from time to time, his voice scratching from its slumber, to mention wisdom gained. To those who see him he is nearly an average man, in whatever he does is is almost as if he is not even there. His body moves and actions are performed, but it is almost lifeless... nearly seem-less, as if it did not even happen. He is there one day, in an inn another, then gone the next - a nomad at heart, never settling down in any cities and disappearing into the Wildlands. His people of the Northlands participated in religion, with his father previously being the priest in their clan, where Gilboa was made to read the scripture texts daily and participate in the weekly gatherings of their people. He was not born into wealth, not even well off, but enough to live with few accommodation. His family owned a farm, as did few other clans members, and he tended the sheep as a boy with his brothers as well as pulling the weeds and eventually plowing the fields as he grew older. It was a happier time before what all transpired, something historians often over-look or merely record as a foot-note, but he has little peace in his dreams from the loss. Screams wake him up at night, fire blazes in his eyes. He remembers the forgotten, and prays to his god for vindication, rarely receiving what he takes to be an answer. He can not help but wonder at times why his god does not answer his questions, he does not know if it simply means that there is no god... or just no answer. At this age, and with his anger, one can only wonder which path Gilboa will take - that of life and forgiveness, or death and fire. -Character Age: 24 -Character Appearance: Grizzly would be the best way to describe the 6'2 out-lander from the north. His hands are calloused, his brow furrowed, and his arms scarred from his former life. -Character Personality: Quite and strong willed, determined and convicted. Free from guilt and regret and dedicated to his cause. -Your ambitions: To become an adviser in a nations council, or to raid the Wildlands (OOC:) To progress the Lore of the Northern sub race -Can your character read or write?: He has managed to learn the language of Aegis but his native tongue is that of his home clan from the north whose runes and writings are seldom found. Perhaps this is why he does not talk much. -Can your character mine?: He has learned through his various jobs, such as building tunnel supports for excavations preventing a cave-in. There was once a time, though, where he dug with his hands. -Are you a capable builder?: Not a skilled craftsman, but he can place rocks on top of other rocks using gravity to lean them against each other. They aren't beautiful, but they keep both rain and monsters out. -Can you wield a sword?: His father taught him to wield it to defend himself, but after what happened - only he knows what he will do with a blade in his hands. He also seeks his families sword which he hasn't seen in years. -Enjoy Farming?: It was part of his daily chores to go out and tend the fields and flocks as a child and then to oversee the families servants as he grew older. -Does your character have any special skills?: It is not often he talks to another whose skill with a sword surpasses his, though he doesn't do much talking. He also has an interest to be a blacksmith and in metal working, but it takes money to learn and then be successful in any trade. -A screenshot of your skin: "Nordic viking" http://www.minecraftskins.com/page/4/ -Other Information: I am eager to try out the role playing aspect, this will be the first one where I have to remain in character! There is a definite direction I will take my character, but the specifics I will leave up to the occasion so not everything is scripted.
