He loved to read books and the great epics where heroes conquered dungeons and paladins crushed evil. At the age of 18 on his birthday, James left the house searching for adventure. His father had taught him much about basic survival and helpful skills which would later help him in Aegis. After finding no adventure for a month, James came home with disappointment. He was angered to come home to his home being nothing more than ash and rubble. He found his fathers damaged and broken body under a wooden beam and helped him up. His fathers last words were "Undead... It was them. Do me and your mother proud son," and fell dead on the spot. Once more he set out, but not for adventure this time.
