Give a definition of what it means to you.: In role-playing games you have your own character and develop it to your choices. Some choose to make there characters actions like there own and some choose to have completely different, each is fine and each player will have there own choice. I enjoy playing role-play because there is no limits to what you can do and does not get boring, you get the enjoyment out of it what you put in. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are: Metagaming is when you are use information that you find out OOC and you are using it in-character such as conversing information learned in team speak and then using it in-game. Powergaming is when you force and action upon somebody such as *I slice of your head instantly killing you* also this could be ignoring the RP factor of the server and instead focusing purely on maximization of your skills. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server to be adventurous and seeming many fantastic and inspiring builds. The main attraction to this server is the RP and events and is what I am most exited about and can't wait to get involved. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have been playing on alot of servers but all the servers that I participated, was not very active, there was no sense of community and a real server which is exactly why I have come to LoTc. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: darkmasterboss In-Character: Character Name: Thrive What is your Race?: Dwarf Biography: Thride was born and raised in Kal'Urguan. His mother is a regular home dwarf, and his father is a guard for Kal'Urguan. As Thride matured, his father taught him how to wield a sword, and his father would always talk about dwarven politics. When Thride's father was on-duty, Thride's mother would teach Thride how to read and write. Thride had a warm personality. Everytime he walked around Kal'Urguan, he would assist anyone that needed aid. One day, when Thride was helping his mother cleaning the home, a group of guards knocked on the door, which grabbed Thride's attention. He opened the door and they told his mother and him, that his father was killed by a group of Orcs. Thride at that point wanted revenge against the group of Orcs that killed his father. Thride would continue where is father last left off from his training and he would train on his own until, he thought he was ready to go out, and kill the Orcs.At age 60, Thride's mother died from illness, which just made Thride sad but would not stop his eager for revenge. At age 65, Thride was ready to seek and kill the Orcs that killed his father. As Thride was going to leave Kal'Urguan, a old man who was a retired head guard approached Thride, and he told him that he has the face of his father. As they both were chattering, the old man said something that made Thride's eager for revenge completely gone, "Your father, he was a honorable guard, probably one of the best guards we ever had. He would always say that he wants to help the citizens of Kal'Urguan, but one day a group of Orcs entered Kal'Urguan and try to cause some trouble. Your father and I killed most of the Orcs but one Orc attempted to throw an axe from my behind, but your father pushed my body away and the thrown axe hit your father into the chest. As the Orc took off, I tried to rush your father in to the healers but your father knew it was to late. He told me that to remember this, " Revenge is a cruel thing to life. It will only bring you to pain and sorrow. Please Wheatley(Old mans name) don't go after the Orc that did this. It will only tear your life apart." As the old man left, Thride was quite and went back home. Next day, he applied for the guards and was begining to take his father's footsteps which he currently is now at age 146 years old. Your characters ambitions: I wish to be a successful guard like my father was and be known to all Dwarfs and a respected guard. I wish to take part in any battles that include my brothers. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Wait behind a rather large tree, take occasional looks to see how the situation is going. And the precise moment I sprint, jumping across the various rocks and small pot holes that was in my path. After slipping down one and twisting my ankle I ignored the pain and sprinted with haste. I would try to cause something to tick the bandits off and take off while they are trying to catch me, leaving the elf by himself safely. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, which meant his parents would get him anything he wanted except for dangerous items. Thrive is a short, kind, and respectful dwarf. He is 15 years old. Thrives father is a merchant for Kal'Urguan and his mother is an original house dwarf. While Thrives father would attend to work, Thrives mother would teach Thrive how to read, write, and how to use good manners. While Thrives father was not attending work, he would teach Thrive how to fish and he would always talk to Thrive about politics. As Thrive more matured, he wanted to be a fishermen since his father taught him proper skills on how to catch them. Then one day, Thrives father was kidnapped by a group of villians. The guards of Kal'Urguan were searching for him, and finally found his body hanged on a tree, with blood coming from his mouth. As the guards came back to Kal'Urguan and reported this to Thrive and his mother, Thrive was in a state of wanting to get revenge for what had happend to his father,but Thrive knew that his father would not have wanted him to follow down a path of pain and sorrow, just to get revenge for his father's death. Thrive then had to support his mother since she was ill and was getting weak on her arms. Thrive's mother then passed away a year later. Thrive was lost and confuse of what has happend in his life, but a kind dwarf who was the head guard of Kal'Urguan adopted him. Thrive then became a guard of Kal'Urguan, which didn't start great for Thrive. He wasn't strong or agile as most dwarfs were, but he never gave up and that is why he remaind as a guard of Kal'Urguan. Thirty years have passed and Thrive has become one of the best guards of Kal'Urguan. He mainly patrols around King's road due to being tons of reports of thiefs hanging around there. Thrive vows that he will continue doing his great deed, and help any citizens that need aid. Character Age:36 years old Character Appearance: Thrive is a short red headed dwarf.
