  1. I'm an old friend. Haven't been around for a while, and I wanted to see how the server is nowadays but I'm clueless to modern lore. I figure the best way to learn all the necessary info and build connections is to play someone's child/relative. I'll be making this character my main. I'm very RP focused, I don't particularly care for pvp. I like to spend time on passive and develop characters emotionally. Prefer living in areas with a high volume of players. My most recent character (long time ago) was Andres Cortesia. An occasional villain, to which I intentionally made him have awful luck. Very rarely did his schemes work, as I found it to be an enjoyable experience when I played with others and they could save the day. You can message me on discord @Goat Encoder, or reply here!
  2. Hey guys, I never migrated my old MC account and had to make a new one. Could I please get whitelisted? Thank you!
  3. (( This is a failure of a notice, since the fact that people who do not regulary check these particular forums were evicted from their home essentially without notice. 4. A scribe updates the docket with a new entry. "Pius Silverblade is hereby removed from the Privy Council on behest of LHC. The title of Grand Coerciter is placed on a temporary reviewal status. The title of Lord Justiciar is as well placed in reviewal status pending LHC. "

  6. Alexander unconsciously knows that he was not invited to some ball somewhere. He shrugs a little, continuing about his walking. "Step, step, clack!" the sound of his cane hitting the cobble doth not but encourage him to keep walking. "Not as if I can dance, anyhap", He would have said, if knowing about this lack of invitation.
  7. Alexander smiles as he receives an official copy of the edict that he had legitimately signed. By signing this into official law, it does not need the emperor's permission, therefore is legitimate. He only just notices an error and quickly scribes the correction, sending it off to be amended.
  8. A few strands of hair, of dark brown and curving around over to the right, are brushed aside with a brush of his finger, a tanned fellow's face showing up towards Codrik. With the other hand, he gently taps the wooden instrument in his hand against the bench before him in a slow and steady pace. With a bow of his head to greet him, he shows a faint smile as he listens and outstretches his palm upwards to motion as he speaks. "Surely so. . I can only assume that you are.. a Green. I barely recognize you, being quite some time, eh? It is quite a shame that I missed it, truthfully so. I can only wish for some time to speak, that is, outside of these walls of courte. Perhaps a plea for me to hear?"
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1Qu9TsrbG4 The building is quite modestly taken out of the mountainside in Albresi, a nonchalant stone brick structure with braziers lighting the front. The door lay slightly open, letting a breeze in. The two Imperial guards stand at ease, resting a seven foot in length halberd at their sides. Beside them, a crackling of fire and oil burns in the braziers, strong and wisping flames growing and fading into the wind. One would begin to hear a bard playing faintly from inside, echoing out the doorway. As one may enter, a cloud of smoke lingers on the bottom of the floor, wafting about with the draft and dissipating as it leaves the windows. The smoke smells sweet and earthy, as if one was burning a stick of sugar cane and cedar logs. There are a few men standing about, some in uniform, a tunic of plain black and green, with a golden tinted rope around their waists. They are young peasants, and are carrying bags, apparently couriers. There as well are several courtiers, standing at the flanks of the large desk in the main focus of the building, several men of rather bourgeoisie appearance, one is writing, the other examining a golden brick that lay in front of him. The bard is sitting to the far right, slowly playing along in the silence and whispering of the courtiers. There is another man, specifically one in a bright red and black uniform with a white bow tie. He has darkened skin with green eyes that glance about the room. He is flanking on the right of the man in the center of focus, with his arms casually rested behind his back, often with a pipe dangling from his teeth. The man in the center, with a placard in gold below where he sits, it reads: "The Lord High Chancellor of Oren" "Alexander de Stolistes" He is a rather tall fellow, his dark brown locks just barely reaching the top of the shoulder of the man he is sitting next to. A red beret lays out on his work area, folded up and set aside, next to a pipe, the smoke wafting up in a line of wispy light haze, and dissipating shortly afterwards. Alexander is a rather fine looking fellow in his early twenties, decorated with a large medallion hanging from his shoulders, golden trim in his spotless outfit, and with rings on most of his fingers. With a small mustache and patch of a beard beneath his lips. His face is without wrinkles or age, and his hair with naught a tinge of gray. He grumbles lightly, sifting through a stack of papers before him and then finding a single piece, beginning to scratch and scribble through some text with what appears to be a wooden utensil that he is using to write with. Next to the parchment lay a chalice of simple nature, a curved and smooth golden cup whose lips reach up and out as pedals on a flower. A man would quickly approach you and whisper quietly to anyone that enters, "Welcome to the Court of the Empire, if you have a plea or request, do so speak to his grace, our Lord Chancellor."
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1Qu9TsrbG4 The name "Stolistes" derives from the dialect in the homeland of Alexander and his family, once the "bearer of the chalice", which in the days of the kings and even our day forth as the emperor. In order to assure that the life essence, our precious drinks were safe and free of adulterations, and would assure it at utmost dutifulness for the king, to of course have a drink first. These men were often the most trusted of the king's courtiers. Lineage Learno de Stolistes, was first of his name, Baron of Reviera, a small village in the wilderness of Oren. Once a cupbearer of King Daniel, who granted him the rights of land through his name, Baron of Reviera at the time, and in custom took the name of the area, Learno de Reviera. Once given the rights to his land, Learno established his county of Stolistes, and took the name. Learno married a local peasant woman, a daughter of a merchant who used to travel the southern coasts. Learno begot Heraldo, and died in the construction of his keep twelve years after. Heraldo was a count at the age of twelve, and it was to be decided that his regent would be Edwarde of the Plaines, a family friend of Learno and Menila, until he was of the year twenty-three. Heraldo was a man of simple means, he only continued his father's work on the keep and managed a small farming village devoid of much violence and petty raiding. Upon the completion of the keep and much expansion of his village, the manor of Stolistes grew as gold was discovered below the outskirts near a cliff where his county drew its borders. It seems that Heraldo took quite well to his place as count. With the gold he acquired, some interest followed. The first of his name to be married by the noble tradition, a lady, daughter of a nearby count was arranged for the house of de Elays. Heraldo begot three sons and two daughters, Hermano, his first, and after two years, his second was Anthousa, then Alendros and Carlo, his youngest being the modest Verlina. Heraldo saw it most necessary to afford his heir the most of his ability, using the gold recovered from the nearby mine to afford his first two sons to an academy in the capital. Heraldo himself had only just began to read several years before, being taught by the same friend who was now quite aged, his regent, Edwarde of the Plaines. Hermano was to learn legislation, Heraldo sent him with intentions of being a lawyer, Alendros was instituted in accounting and the theories of mathematics and earliest forms of merchantile strategies. Towards the end of the two son's education was perhaps the highlight of the house, without violence, without death, and the gold enough to spare around the entire village. A small piece for a serf was well enough for anyone to eat quite well, and as well to fund some growth in their markets nearby, which was in part of the contribution from Alendros. This was around the time that the Cup of Stolistes was cast in gold, and finely painted and shaped into what it is seen today. When Hermano was twenty-three, he was married to a young lady of a nearby duchy, Gabriele de Warde, betrothed since the age of seven. Quickly after he begot a son, named Craige. And after, he begot Marcus, and then Teresa. Around the time Teresa was begot, was two years passed since the birthing of Verlina, was the beginning of the brigand raids, which brought the house to its knees over two decade's time. It began slowly at first, just small parties of seven or eight, robbing the outlying farms of their crops and cattle. As well as stealing from the miner carts headed back into town. This forced Hermano and his two brothers to take up arms as well as hiring a force of soldiers to train his peasants into being knights. Using some family ties, he as well acquired two house knights to fight as well, having their manors along the countryside. The old man, Heraldo, gave up his seat on the county for his much more competent son, Hermano. He still found time to teach his son of what he learned in his time in school, he used some of the remaining gold to hire a personal tutor for Marcus to as well learn, focusing on what the still alive Heraldo told him, a lawyer. His method became rather unorthodox, however, for his tutor was a philosopher monk who was known as well to have spent the last decade of his life standing upon a pillar in order to be closer the heavens. Two decades had passed since the time of Marcus' schooling, and now the elder passes on, the grandfather Heraldo. Not two years pass and two more enter the Kingdom of Heaven in the war with the brigands, Craige and Alendros. With the death of his brother, Marcus becomes the heir of the county. Hermano then passed the seat over at the age of fourty two, leaving his county to son Marcus. Marcus inherited a dilapidated display, the village about the third of its old size, as well the population reduced and thinning. His farms were burnt and razed, the mine growing now empty with not a ring of a pick to be heard for days, as the gold began to dry up. Once the gold dried, the brigands left, either being killed or giving up, the keep of Stolistes being quite a fair investment in many years passed. It was about this time where Marcus found the desire to marry, after establishing himself again, in a moderately stable manor. He wed the daughter of one of the house knights named Jonathan Hazale. Deana only begot one son, Alexander. Marcus at first failed at his attempts to revive their lands, mainly rebuilding and restarting a then non-existent lumber milling operation. But then he continued, at his very most effort, and finally succeeding. As Marcus was quite busy, the young boy was taught by the aging Hermano. he used the last remaining gold to as well send Alexander to the academy, where he spent his late teen years in legal institutions to be a lawyer, just as his father intended. When Alexander was just the age of twenty-two, he assumed count of the lands after his father disappeared in an Undead attack, leaving him only the lordship for five months before they left for Asulon. Alexander was the only remaining kin of de Stolistes, apparently. None had been seen or heard from since the move, and Alexander returned to the wilderness he had known. Only to be confronted by the then King of Renatus, Godfrey Horen. With a choice to be accepted into the Kingdom, he took the opportunity, and swore his fealty to his liege lord, Duke of Westfall, Zibaen Vivyaen. Alexander was given his own section of land, granted when the duchy was expanded, and as well a county where the seat of the duchy rested, Stolistes and Hawcaster. Along with two keeps and a hold, he was once again quite well suited for a outlandish lord who controlled the frontiers. This is where the houses of Vivyaen and Ishikawa become good acquaintances and allies of the house de Stolistes. Upon the death of Zibaen Vivyaen, the first High Chancellor, it was granted of the utmost certainty that the one who served quite close to him, Alexander would be chosen next. Being already in the privy council at the time, originally as the King's Privy Seal. It was not long until he bore two children from out of wedlock, Carlito and Lilianne. He legitimized Carlito after five years time. Giving his Barony of Del Riviera to his son, to produce stone for his own Barony of Alandros. After some time, Carlito however went missing and has not been seen since. After many years of the chancery, Alexander was growing quite older and now realized a need to continue his name, then marrying a young lady by the name of Melissa Iban Soulblade. With Melissa he begot his heir, Joseph, and his daughter, Amber. Melissa ended her own life, and then Alexander remarried to an infertile woman by the name of Amariel Mayberry. It just so happens, however, that in the process, Alexander no longer ages due to a certain water source. Chalice of Stolistes Seen at the top of the post, the Chalice of Stolistes was cast and formed from gold, and painted with images, using several well and keen goldsmiths from the capital to create such a work, and is kept with Alexander safely as the Stolistes have naught many relics to keep.
  11. An aging fellow in a dark burgundy jacket with the finest gold trim hands Alexander a small roll of parchment, it is sealed and addressed to him. With a curious furrowed brow he slips his finger through the seal and unravels the parchment, looking over the edict with a grimace. He blinks several times, then sets it aside neatly rolled back up in a nearby bookshelf. "This emperor cannot write an edict if his own life were to be dependent on it." He says to Geraldes with a chuckle. Alexander waves his hand about, motioning for the man to take his leave, "Grammercy, 'eraldes. Much appreciated."

  14. The court of Oren lies desolate besides the lone fellow behind the bench and a courier who stands quietly next to him. He is carefully drafting a document on a piece of imperial stock parchment. He lets out a low sigh, sliding the parchment up to sign it and as well place his seal on it, in the usual green wax. He quickly hands it to the courier and raises his voice to speak. "To the Emperor", he states. The courier responds with a curt nod and then makes his way out of the court. Your Divine Presence, Godfrey, It has been many of years I have felt in this manner, regarding the status of my mental health, my patience, my determination, and my desire to further our great empire. Ever since the days of sitting on the throne and handling court for several months at the time, I have seen myself growing less deserving of such a position, I have seen myself growing less dutiful as the entropy begins to collect my own mistakes right at my doorstep. My love for the empire cannot ever match or even compare to one that is much more important to me. This love is my wife, Amariel, she is the sun, and the moon. She is the Lord's blessing from above, that I now realize is my new fate to uphold my duty to, along with the continuing of the faith of our Lord, God. I will not stand by and allow myself to degrade the name of our most holy empire in idleness, while I cannot decide for you, or even change your thoughts. I only simply request that you accept my resignation in good spirits and kind soul, my emperor. I will not think of leaving the nation of my Lord, nor will I be absent from it, I retain my position in the papacy in a last effort to maintain the witness towards our Lord Almighty, the Creator, and to further the faith in such way. I pray that you see my resignation in good faith that I am in no way abandoning our nation, I am only doing what I believe is best for the empire. I hereby request to be relieved of all duties and powers associated with the Office of the High Chancery, and the position of the High Chancellor, along with the position of the Lord Justiciar. If my request is denied, I shall however return to my office in the hopes of making amends to the empire that I left others to make up for my intolerable laziness and lack of dedication. With a heavy heart of regret, your loyal servant of the Holy Empire of Oren, Alexander de Stolistes

  17. Alexander hears a knocking at the large oak door that bars the entrance to a small room that appears to be his office. With raised brows he raises his head, moving his hand, the quill dripping a bit of ink on a cloth to his right. A muffled voice sounds from the other side, "Ya, 'ere be a letta' ferya, m'lord". He clears his throat, raising his voice from a usual mumble, to answer, "Yes, do come in." A short fellow in a simple black tunic with a stitched design of a leaf and vine on the edges, enters quickly, drawing his spare hand up to his hat and removes it. With a quick press of his hat, he walks over towards the desk, and reaches out to hand him the parchment. With a nod the messenger quickly moves to a stance next to the door, waiting without a word. As Alexander reads over the amended edict, he frowns, setting it down, and slides over a new piece of parchment with a grumble. "This was not the proper edict.. Shame."
